I don't think the salary was too expensive, but I wouldn't be willing to give up a 2nd rounder for a guy that's only started 3 times in his career. If we're still interested we can sign him next year.

Oh well. No big loss. A second rounder for a guy who has backup potential is too steep of a price. I'm glad we didn't waste one of our second rounders on this guy.

Means nothing to me. We can get him next year if we want.

A second round pick is way too much. I am glad we walked and he stayed in Cin.

This close to the draft, I'd like to see something of more value. Not a big loss IMO.

IMO, they were just getting a head-start on next year :)

I must be really out of the loop ... who? Somehow I think we'll manage.

I'm not sure how RFA works but could it have been possible that they signed him so we could trade for players and not draft picks, I would love to see us trade Barton and a pick rather than a 2nd stright up.

Okay, so they floated him out there and then when no one bit the bait they signed him to 1.3 for one year? So much for "They must think a lot of him to tag him with a 2nd round tender." If our FO had signed him they would be suckers.
