Not really, their bullpen is terrible. Except for their closer.

The Red Sox need to take 2 of 3 from the Yankees right now.

The Yankees pitching is at its worst (God forbid) that the Sox will see it this season.

The Sox are pitching their #1,2,3 pitchers and are at home.

Anything other than 2 of 3 is a BIG failure.

they have the 5th best bullpen ERA in the league. Best in the AL
Their top 4 relievers all have an ERA under 1.50
    hard to call that terrible

I've watched quite a few games, other than timlin and Snyder (the mop up guy) the bullpen looks good, Papelbon has been unhittable, donnelly looks like he did in 02-05, Okajima and Lopez have been deadly on lefties, and pinero has had good stuff, Romero looked good in the games I saw him, though i didn't see the appearance against TEX where he got rocked.
I would bet that I have seen more of their pen than you, saying that it is terrible is fairly foolish, since they are performing well and several of them have good track records. Mostly that is just wishful thinking on your part, will the red Sox keep up a 2.58 ERA? No, but that is a solid staff. If you actually watch baseball games as opposed to buying into spring training rumors you might see that

I'll certainly see them all this weekend and I will take the Yankees BP over Boston's any day. (This year, anyway)

It doesn't really matter who the pitcher is, who the team is. Of course he will cool off at some point but it is pretty apparent this will be a monster year when it's over for him. No doubt he should be batting third right now. Twice he led off the inning. Batting 3rd he would have come up both times with men on base. Wonder if that thought even crosses clueless joe's mind.
