Draftdaddy.com has the below comment on the Jets draft in their draft blog. I think this is quite on target analysis. Unless perhaps a Revis falls to them at 25, the Jet's won't be inclined to go CB at 25 or move up for one earlier in round one....I think it's either a DE/OLB or Justin Blalock....

New York Jets are being quiet about their draft plans.

DD.comment: Many mock drafts have the Jets selecting cornerback at 25. While this is a need and definitely possible, remember that HC Eric Mangini has a history of turning mid to late round selections, even undrafted players into servicable cornerbacks with the Patriots. Not many other franchises have that skill in their coaching staff, and for that reason we believe the team will go in a different direction unless a top prospect falls through the cracks.

sounds about right. the latest Mock i've seen has Revis going to the Bills; should he fall to us after projecting to go that early, i wouldn't mind the pick.

but i think Blalock (improving the OL) and creating a dominant Front 7 is paramount to our success next year -- especially against the Pats.

    cheers

Who do the Bills have at RB now that they got rid of McGahee? They might go Marshawn. Though they do need corner help now that nate is gone.

    Revis

No way Revis falls past the Giants. Most mocks I've seen lately have him ahead of Hall. Seems like those two are the consensus top two w/ Ross a near 3rd and after that I've seen Houston as high as 20 and as low as the 2nd round and the kids from Fresno and UNLV, McCauley and Wright, somewhere in the second and third rounds. Who knows. It's very rare that a team is stupid enough to show their cards nowadays.

I can only wish that either Hall/Revis/Ross fall close enough to our drafting position that we may actually have a chance to get one of them. But I don't think that it will happen. Given what little we know, I'm hopeful that Team Tangini will make a fundamentally sound pick in the absence of those 3 DB's and pick someone sensible who can have an immediate and long-lasting impact like Justin Blalock.

it's really going to be hard to even speculate who our man is going to be, if their are any trades within the first 10 picks, we'll be going for the bpa on the board. i'd like to go on offense, an ol or wr would be good for me.
