On ESPN.com, Kiper's 4 round moc is listed. Here's who he has us taking on day one:

    1. Aaron Ross. CB, TX
    2. Craig Davis. WR, LSU
    2. Marshal Yankda. OL, Iowa
    3. Tim Shaw. LB, Penn State

What does everyone think? Like it or not? Is it realistic?

I personally only like, Tim Shaw. He is addicted to us picking an early WR. A. Ross reminds me a lot of, Miller. I personally think we will be moving up or down in the draft anyway, so...

I don't like the Davis pick, we don't need a WR, we need a DT somewhere on day one.

I predict none of these will be right.

I had to laugh when I saw what Champ69 wrote about the Nittany Lions; he was refering to the Blair Thomas pick for those that don't go back quite that far into the annals of pain and suffering as he and I do.

I thought that, too at first. We could use somebody to compliment Dysan, but I really don't think the Jets will use a first rounder on a corner back.

I still think we go for a pass rusher in the 1st like Anthony Spencer.

I know we just signed Bowens and Wadsworth, but I still think it's a smokescreen to cover their true intentions. If everyone thinks we're picking a CB because we haven't brought anyone in yet, teams may try to trade up before us to get a CB we're supposedly "targetting". That might make a DE or LB that they're really looking at slip a little to us.

Anthony Spencer, Justin Blalock, Aaron Ross and Greg Olsen would all make me smile in the first round.

I unfortunately remember that pain too...although we have had more recent Nittany Lion luck with Kareem McKenzie...

Even if it's Larry Johnson... so glad you aren't anywhere near any front office Uncle Junior.

FYI...Todd McShay of ESPN.com just posted his 7 round moc. His Jets picks:

    1. Chris Houston, CB, Arkansas
    2. Stewart Bradley, OLB, Nebraska
    2. Jason Hill, WR, Wash State
    3. Paul Soliai, NT, Utah
    5. Desmond Bishop, ILB, Cal
    6. Derek Schouman, TE/FB, Boise State

It's so funny, all these guys have determined that the Jets need a cornerback and therefore come hell or high water, we'll pick one in the 1st round! I for one think Tangini is leaning toward Blalock...

But then again, Lance Mehl was a pretty good player for us.

And how could I forget my namesake!

Lance Mehl was good. I guess the Nitts aren't all bad. It is just that Blair Thomas is very painful.

No OL in 6 rounds? Are you kidding me? Do they actually watch the games? Specifically Jets games? The run game SUCKED, the run blocking was terrible! If they think getting Thomas Jones solves all the problems with the run game they know less about football than 99% of the people on this board. I can understand not wanting to use another 1st rounder on the OL again, but no Olinemen in 6 rounds????:drunk:
