Victorino brings in Rollins after the triple on the sac fly. Alou looked very casual out there on that throw.
I know there was very little chance of getting Rollins at the plate their, but on a sac-fly with nobody else on, I can't see any reason to EVER cut off that throw. At least let it go, if/when it's a bad throw or late, who cares? Same result, but at least you tried
Wright will probably get a hit his last time up and continue to have one othe worst hitting streaks ever. He looks awful on about 3/4 of his at bats.
Well, Sele really didn't do the job the last couple of innings. Might have been too much to hope for, but things aren't looking too good right now.
Gary is on top of that. Once Sele gave up that last run, he stopped being able to say that it was a good outing.
Gee, why doesn't Keith now acknowledge that he was completely wrong in saying that Eaton should have stayed in the game, since Alfonseca totally shut down the Mets? It is these non-events (in this case, nothing bad happened) that people forget that account for so much of the anti-statistics views of "old-timers".
