Now the Mets fans and Yankees haters and STFU for a day. I had my Mets fan friend call me the moment Abreu was plunked

That was exciting. Huge home run for A-rod. Nice the way Jeter greeted him and pushed him out for a curtain call.

Murrell, Arod hit 2 HR's today, 6 RBIs.

    Not 1 for 4.

that's just tracking "clutch" situations only. 7th inning on when the score is within 3 runs.

Hmmm..if you think about it every HR and every RBI is clutch no matter when it comes in a game. You don't get to less then 3 runs after the 7th if you have created a 10 run lead in the 5th. It just changes what was clutch at the time. His first HR was every bit as clutch as the second. It gave them the lead. It's not his fault that our entire starting pitching staff belongs in the minors and couldn't keep the lead.

no it isn't. A HR in the 1st inning is so much different than being up at the plate down 1 with a man on. Just like Vinatieri kicking a FG in the 1st quarter being much different than the one he kicks to win the Super Bowl

You're confusing being under fan pressure with clutch hitting. Any hit that puts you in the lead is a clutch hit period. That's all a hitter can do. They can't pitch the game to make sure it holds up.

I actually smiled for ARod. Clutch can blow me.

Just kidding. He's the unclutchiest clutch to ever attempt and fail at being clutch. Ever. Jeter farts more clutch than this guy has ever had in his body. He doesn't have a clutch bone in his body. He eats babies.

And that is why yankee fans have gone from being the smartest fans in baseball to being the dumbest. They are sheep that believe anything they read in the NY Post.

Yes, because a solo HR when you're up 11-1 is clutch. Or Doug Briens FG in the 2nd Quarter of the Pittsburgh game is clutch or that they are the same when it's 2-1 and you're up with a man on or a FG try to win the game. I'm not going to debate "clutchness" with you. I just want to see how he does when the game is on the line or when the Yanks need him. And so far he has come through in 2 of the 4 games. So he's passed the test thru 4 games.

it's nice to see some of the same people that were declaring last season that game winning hits over teams like the devil rays in may didn't count orgasming over a game winning hit in the 4th game of the season against the orioles.

Nice job by A-Rod. Maybe he'll turn his relationship around with the fans. I hate to see a guy bust in NY, even if he is a Yankee.

he's come through in the clutch at a higher rate than most players so far this season. Then again, it is April...

he didn't come through in the 2nd game, but he did in the 1st and he did again now

What does hitting a hr being up 11-1 have to do with hitting one that puts you in the lead? Or did you just not read what I said right?
