Delgado doesn't look too great so far either. Otherwise, certainly can't complain.

Ron Burgundy: Boy, that escalated quickly... I mean, that really got out of hand fast.
Champ Kind: It jumped up a notch.
Ron Burgundy: It did, didn't it?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart.

Despite Ron and Keith's comments, Carlos II continues to not look so good. I'm certainly willing to believe that it has to do with him missing the last week of spring training, but it's still true.

Burgos puttin in some nice work in that inning, gets the Cards 1-2-3. Mets are 3 outs away from starting the season with 3-0.

    How sweep it is.

Either the Mets pitching staff is alot better then anyone thought, or the Cardinals offense is really really bad.

Eckstein hustles back to the dugout after striking out.

    Put it in the books!

All I want for the Mets is for the rest of the season and postseason to be just like this series.

I must admit, a good series played by the Mets. What a shame to be a Cardinals fan right now. Cardinals won the World Series, and they start the next season off at 0-3.

I know it's VERY early in the season, but I can see the Cardinals winding up like the Chi Sox and not even making the playoffs. It's possible.
