I just said a minute ago up there that they were going to dump him. The Raiders are going to hit the jackpot. Now they can sign him, trade down for more picks and shake up the whole draft.
I see the Dolphins trading up for Russell and Quinn going number 2.

48 hours from now I hope Carr has landed in Minnesota. That's a place I think he could do the Jets little harm from.

When I heard yesterday that the Texans were going to cut him my first thought was that it was the perfect mistake for them to make at the end of what has been a long mistake-prone chain of events.

I suspect that Carr will avoid the Raiders like the plague. He knows he needs a strong team to get the most out of his talents. He's going to get #2 money or a little bit better wherever he goes. The question is whether he wants to sit for awhile on a strong team or start right away on a weak one. I'm guessing he goes for option 1.

I'm from Houston, and let me tell you this. Carr had the tools to be decent. He is now the walking, talking, breathing, epiphany of failure. He is by no means a leader, and his confidence is greatly shaken. Even with a decent OL, I can say with confidence that his career with the Texans wouldn't be any different than what it turned out to be. I was never high on Carr, and his being the first pick in that draft just goes to show how the 2002 draft is probably one of (if not the) worst draft classes for QB's in the history of the draft. If the Phins want him, they can have him. All it means is that they will self destruct from Carr's history of losing. Carr held back the Texans for 5 years, and yesterday they scrapped everything they had worked for, and they are begining anew again; so if you truely care for your New York Football Jets, you will not even think again about bringing David Carr to New York.

    WTF did they work for?

    A crappy O-line? Check.

    A terrible defense? Check.

A running game that may or may not show up? Check.

Amazingly high expectations on the QB they drafted #1 overall to overcome all that and take them to the Super Bowl anyway? Check.

The Texans are a tard franchise man. I honestly think the highlight of that franchises history was last years draft, and they still messed that up a little.

I gotta say that the Texans should be on their knees every night praying that Matt Millen stays in Detroit. He's all that has kept them from being the laughingstock of the league for the last 4 seasons.

The Jets, BTW, had a QB of similar stature to Carr. He wasn't quite as good a prospect but he was pretty good. His name was Richard Todd and it's amazing how he overnight turned into a QB that could take the Jets to the playoffs and win after Walt Michaels built the team around him that made that possible.

Will Carr sign with Raiders knowing they might still pick russell at number 1.(Thats the question- Garcia wouldn't sign because raiders wouldn't guarantee they weren't drafting a QB at number 1)

Basically it would be carr's job at the most two years. This way they' can bring along Jamarcus Russell slowly. Raiders are going to get a Veteran QB whether its D Culpepper, T Green, J plummer or D carr to compete for starting job this year.

A Walter or D Carr/other Fa QB show anything and Raiders have a very nice chip to use in a trade. You see what an average QB Matt Schaub(50% completion in a WCO offense horrendous) will bring in a trade.

BTW D Carr without a doubt would sign with Raiders if they told him they weren't picking at Qb at number 1. HE knows kiffin and he would be going home. Raiders are not making any guarantees to any FA Qb what their intentions are.

nice article what Raiders believe about their oline.
