which helmets do you think the Jets will wear with those jerseys? The current ones? The 1960-1962 Titans' ones?
I can't see them wearing the current helmet with that uni.... maybe they use the old helmet but put the Jets logo on the side? I seem to remember some rule that says if they wear a throw back uniform, they have to be historically accurate. I could be mistaken about that....
That is not wholly accurate. It wasn't done for money. Parcells wanted to make the change back to the old style uniforms for the 1997 season, but it was too late to put the change in place for that season. The team would have to suffer with the 1990-1996 look for one more season. A month or two after the 1997 season concluded, the Jets had a press conference and fashion show for the new "old" uniforms. Adrian Murrell and Mo Lewis (and Wayne Chrebet, I think) were the models. Murrell was moved shortly thereafter.
im gonna look into cause i know i heard that on espn. there was another coach that wanted to change the uni's but couldnt cause he was only in his 1st year. i know this rule :NFL rules allow uniform changes once every five years. They also allow a team to use a third, alternate jersey for two regular-season games,
Come on man.....it's the idea that fuckin rules....throwbacks are sick man...homage to the guys that started it all. That said, I woudl almost prefer that they wear the unis Namath and them wore when they won the SB
Your theory doesn't hold up. Norv Turner is entering his first season as Chargers head coach and the team is changing their uniforms. Bill Belichick began coaching NE in 2000 and they had new uniforms that year.
funny as i was searching i seen the new sd uni's o well guess i was wrong. its one of those things u thought u heard but was never important to look into until a time like this. sorry dude..
