Kendall says Jones had some good seasons in Chicago....things got better for him when he left Ariz. WOW KENDALL HAS A REAL HEAVY ACCENT..... Boston? Pete says Jones is big and strong and in great shape and mentions his speed and rememebr him having a 75 yard run against the Seashawks once. He also says he isn't sure what exactly the FO wanted in a back, or in most players...he says they know the type of team they are trying to build...he just does his job. Wants the line to do a better job of making sure there's a hole where it is supposed to be. He says it is nice to have a guy that has proven he can produce in big games, wants to make sure the team can get to some big games where he can do that. Says Thomas doesn't just have a few good games in s season, but is consistent every week. Doesn't know why Thomas hasn't always been a feature back but he is glad because he won;t have as many miles on him. On D'Brick and Nick - he thinks both will be even better this year. He dodged the question about what area he'd like the team to improve. He says he'll leave it up to Mike and Eric. He also said Eric's announcement of Chad as a starter didn't really make a difference to the rest of the team, they always saw Chad as the starter. Says he sees that the Pats have improved....and thats the end.....
kendall may be near the end of his career but he is such an important veteran leader for this team. ive never heard him talk publically but its nice to hear that hes excited about what jones brings to the table and everything like that. and about his boston accent, he went to BC...offensive line U.
Kendall seems to be pretty media friendly, during the season he seems to be on the local news often and is quoted in the local papers quite a bit.
Kendall is so important to the development of Mangold and Brick. I am so happy he was brought back last year. If people remember correctly he was almost let go along with Mawae.
2? Maybe, 3? No.... I honestly only think he'll be productive for one more year, but he should stay on until someone beats him out for his job, strictly for his leadership...
Pete Kendall seems like the type of lockerroom leader that I had always wanted Mawae to be. He isn't full of himself and he always seems really sincere.
