wow, those guys really dont want to see Columbo leave the team. He must be a pretty solid RT. Here are some of thier comments....... http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=112#S=112&F=1786&T=199986
it was about coleman, but i went into another thread and was surprised at how highly the cowboy fans regarded Columbo as thier starting RT
Hopefully we can get Colombo signed up as well. That would make our draft a lot more flexible if we were able to get a RT signed up and Coleman should be part of the rotation at DE.
Coleman is a pretty good part-time player for the cowboys, he usually comes in on 3rd down in a 4 man front and rush the QB only. Columbo played 16 games last year for the first time in his career for Cowboys. I think he only allowed 1 sack last year?. He was a high first round pick from the Lion; has great potentials. Both are great additions for the Jets.
We didn't sign Colombo. Colombo allowed 4.5 sacks, which is in the upper echelon of tackles. He would be a nice pickup. -X-
Its good to hear nice things about Coleman from Dallas fans, hopefully he will be a great fit for the Jets.
I think Coleman is gonna be one of those signing that we look back in a year and say, "that was our best FA pickup." If he can hold down one of the end spots in the 3-4 than that is a huge piece of the defense. Parcells liked him, he knows the 3-4, and got good size.
I still wouldn't be disappointed if we brought Clement back. If we do get Columbo, I will be quite happy too though
