 thats true. there will also be the crowd that will state that jets are 0-1 in wining a championship since signing............
Calm down. Tangini did a good job last year and with an additional year 's experience they'll do well again this year. They are not going to break the bank over one guy. Well be a better team when the season opens, we just don't quite know how yet.
Great...we can keep counting our pennies now...can't wait until next season when I can watch Adalius Thomas demolish Chad...
I'm trying to figure out what is more annoying, the sky is falling threads or the threads mocking the sky is falling threads..
AHHHHHHHHH we didn't get Adalius! This is the Jets! A total mes! What a horrible GM, should of hired Parcells! Back to the SOJs! Pats will be 15-1!
This thread is not funny. And there is no breaking the bank. The bank, you see, goes up every year. That's why teams like the Broncos and Redskins continue to sign outlandish contracts yet never ever have to face the penalty.
breaking the bank.... Ok i get why we didn't break the bank to bring in the super expensive free agents, there are guys getting way overpaid *cough* Clements *cough* but anyways, my question is since we have all of this money why not throw it around for once? why not try to make that free agent splash that we haven't made since Curtis Martin? if you weren't planning on trying why tell us you were going to look into Adalius Thomas? and now that most of the big names are gone and we have sat on our hands for the Umpteenth year in a row.... Who the hell are we looking at signing?
I love it, it happens every year. Everyone wants us to spend, spend, spend. The Cards were the big winners in FA last year- how did it work out for them? I think it was Minny the year before that, the skins only year where they weren't offseason champs or close to offseason champs was 2005 when they actually made the playoffs. Teams that go out and overpay for FAs don't win.
In the words of Private Hudson: Well that's great, that's just fuckin' great man. Now what the fuck are we supposed to do? We're in some real pretty shit now man... That's it man, game over man, game over! What the fuck are we gonna do now? What are we gonna do?
Cleveland is a better example... Bentley - Missed 06 and could miss 07. Jurevicious - Missed almost half of 06 McGinnest - SUCKED and got overpaid Shaffer - Did adequate, but not worth the contract Washington - Did below average as their run D fell to the bottom half of the NFL.
My Prediction: The Jets won't do sh-t Take a bottle out of the liquor cabinet, sit down in a comfortable chair, turn on reruns of Super Bowl III or "Talk of the Town" 1981 Highlights, (I'm going to watch the 1982 playoff games) drink every drop, and then, just to be sure, smash yourself over the head with the bottle and take a nice long nap. Wake up sometime next weekend, and check back for THE SMART SIGNINGS Tanny's putting together.
