I want him too but what you just described was KVO to a T last off season.

The Steelers let him walk for a reason. He is 35. 35!!! I am tired of all the old guy signings the Jets have made over the years, from Lott to Marshall to Atwater to Garnes etc.

Rather than overpay for a player who is halfway down the downside slope of his career, let's build with inexpensive young players. I want no part of Porter.

I don't know why you people are wasting your time with the Porter talk. Unless it's a second tier player that costs 20 bucks, the Jets aren't interested.

I saw Joey Porter arguing in the drive thru of McDonald's about the senior discount on his coffee.

Why sign a 63 year old? We might as well suit up Champ.

In no way shape or form will I compare the two. I never knew KVO's name or work in years past and not this year either. I've seen JP's work and he'll make our lb core menacing by presence alone. We need a bullying, tough guy type. We need a charles oakley, anthony mason type personality back in new york (but in football). I'm tired of routing for the bob backlund type of football team. Wins but have no killer instinct. Mangini is changing that attitude. JP will bring that killer instinct.

He was arrested in Vegas in a casino over the weekend for decking a player from the Bengals. Now there is a D player with a mean streak in him!

There's just something so fitting about a Dolphins players making it onto a police blotter in Vegas with a Bengals player.
