I don't see the problem with signing Brown. People are advocating moronic moves such as trading picks for a virtual unknown Michael Turner and signing an obviously over the hill Corey Dillon. When this guy is healthy he can pound it inside, and due to injuries he might come cheap. In 2004 he was a dominant runner, and he's still young enough to be salvageable. People need to temper their expectations a bit.

Chris Brown is not that bad!!! He will be cheap because of his injury problems and lack of production lately, but 2 years ago he was having a stellar year.. amongst the league leaders in rushing for the first 10-12 games or so.

I would not mind this signing at all.. give him an incentive based contract and bring him into training camp.. who knows.

I think he is a lot better than most people give him credit for. He's quick, shifty, and can make people miss. Plus he's got a nasty stiff arm.

It would be a good signing if he can stay healthy.

In 2004 Jamal Lewis was dominant too. Brown is an injury machine who's done nothing the past 2 years. Don't want anything to do with this guy.

It would be a garbage signing. The typical "settling" signing that this people on this site love.

I personally don't like him. Runs too upright and shows limited moves. I don't agree he was ever that dominant; he looked okay in 04 before injuries did him in. Since then he has had both ankles operated on, and has struggled with some other injuries. I would look at other alternatives....

except Jamal Lewis went to got badly injured and went to jail and is old.
Chris brown is still young, didnt have a chance to play last year because Jeff Fisher basically refused to release or trade him at the beginning of the season and he was all but out of the running back rotation. It would not be a garbage signing, maybe price-wise, but not talent-wise.

If they get Brown i will be more the dissapointed. I may even give up. For the first time in forever it seems like the Jets are finally putting some stability together. Signing him will be a typical Jets move that makes everyone in the world laugh at us and wonder how we can be Jets fans year in and year out. Definately a setback.

If he was good dont you think Jeff Fischer would have played him? Or atleast traded him while people thought he was good and still had some stock? And even if he is good, which he may be, obviously he was benched for a reason. He probably has a big mouth, gets in trouble, and isnt a team player. Thats the only reason why good players get benched.
