What do you guys think about signing him??? To me he would be a great addition for us and will fill the void for a tall possesion receiver that we have been lacking. Bennett is 6'5" 205lbs 26 years old with great hands i would love to have him as our 3rd or 4th receiver. Last year he had 46 reception with 737 yards the year before that 58 receptions 738 yards and before that 80 catches 1247 yards. The guy basic get some Yac(yards after catch) after he gets the ball which is what we need. plus we could sign him for relatively low price and we wouldnt have to use a pick in the draft of Wr. THIS TOPIC IS NOW OPEN FOR DISCUSSION..........
he's a big target.....dont really know about he's toughness though but we have more needs than WR...but for the right price...y not....maybe he'll show more balls than Jmac....
He is looking to get paid big $. he was an undrafted free agent and has never hit the big payday. He is looking for #1 reciever money.
thats what i was thinking in terms of Jmac being there and not producing like they want him too. and i was thinking a forth wr slot because they dont know what or how brad smith is going to pan out for them or how there really going to utilize him.
yeah i know he might want money but he is not a number #1 receiver at all i would place him at the 3rd slot. but if he goes with that attitude and teams dont sign him he will quickly change his perspective on things and come back to earth
Hmm...lets see. He was the no.1 at Tennesse and in the prime of his career he'll just decide to jump to being a no.3 wr w/o getting big $$$....not likely. Especially with teams having alot of money to burn, this guy is going to get paid AND still be a starting wr somewhere else. Not going to happen....
he will be paid to be a #1 or a high priced #2...aka not a chance we sign him doesnt matter if you think he is more of a #3 or not...b/c a wr desperate team will make him a #1 guy like the chiefs if we get a wr in FA it will be low low radar guy....someone just to compete patrick crayton would be the highest level of talent we might go after...and that would be if dallas gave him a very low tender...which i doubt they will
So in the End it turns out that all of you were wrong anyhow. Bennett went to the Rams as the number 3 receiver anyhow a big chop down from his #1 slot. which the jets could of pursued him and put him at the 3 slot as well. Dont look like he got the number 1 contract ....
I think he'll split time at the no.2 and eventually take over for Issac Bruce, who is def'n slowing down. You've proven nothing. And 4.5 million average per year isn't exactly nothing either.
Proved nothing!!! I said we should sign him as our 3rd or 4th Receiver and people said he wouldnt want to sign cause he wanted 1st string money. Now that he has signed he signed for the 3rd receiver slot. Dont matter whose in front of him or who he'll be taking over for where is he now!!! So point was proven........... also nfl.com has him at number 3 slot spliting time with kevin curtis so im not the brightest man but that sounds like a solid number three receiver.
my thought is why wait around on someone who you dont know how there gonna play. when you had somebody already familiar with the nfl and has proven stats. plus the guy was an X QB so you know that he understands defenses. AnD he can execute plays precisely
Signed Rams signed Bennett. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sp...19F75F4905A9D64F862572940010197D?OpenDocument Edit: I am slow and can't read. Already posted.
