Random good memories that just popped into my head....add yours. 1- Rob Moore literally sideways 5ft in the air making a sick catch over the middle. I loved that guy. 2- One eyed Wesley Walker making a 50 yarder over the shoulder grab for 6 points to beat the fish. What a game. What a game. O'Brien made is first 17 pass attempts in a row that game. 3- Beating Alzado and the Raiders, only to lose to the....oh wait, good memories only. 4- Keyshawn draft hype, and running out and buying his jersey. The "savior". 5- The like 1-15 Jets going 5-wide and putting up 500 yards on the Ravens to ruin their "best defense ever" on the last game of the year. Then watching the Giants try to imitate and getting killed in the SB. Tooooo funny. 6- Coleman going in on offense to catch a hail mary at the back of the endzone. Against the bills!!!! 7- Going to Rich Stadium to watch O'Donnell get killed (ouch). The "good memory" was my 100% Irish 90 pound wife climbing over the seat to pound the hell out of a 200 pound fat slob Bills bitch who made the mistake of pouring beer on her (double ouch!!!) 8- Keyshawn shining bright in our AFC divisional game against the Jags. I think he played both ways that day!!! Best day for Key right there. 9- The SAC exchange. God. fingers are tired....lay down some of your good memories that just jump out...
Jets were 8-8 that year I think. If Vinny had a couple less turnovers in that game we would have made the playoffs.
Actually we were 9-7. It was Al Groh's first year. We started like 5-0 that year didn't we? That was the season with the "Keyshawn-flashlight" game and the Midnight Miracle. Exciting season, if only it had ended better!
Early 14-0 lead for the Jets, complete with a flea flicker early to put the Ravens on their heels. Fun game, just ended wrong.
Yep you're both right, win and we're in, but the Ravens were kick ass and shut every other team down HARD. Then we come into town and take a lead, giving all who bleed green more than hope. At least we killed their bid for the "best D ever", then got to watch the "G" men fail to imitate. So what are some of your spantaneous good memories?
Richard Todd hitting Jerome Barkum for the winning td in a 16-15 win against the Lphins. Johnny Johnson 90 yd run that did not end up in a TD. Keyshawns playoff game where he scored on a reception, a rush( end around) and intercepted a pass.
Dude that was are cinderella year that came to a crashing hault in Baltimore,Here's how I know that gods were working against us that day . The ravens had 8-9 first downs for the entire game and beat us by two scores. Only happens to the Jets!
Improbably beating the Packers' asses to steal that Patriots' playoff spot and then demolishing the Colts.
And CBS panning in close to get the expression on Keyshawn's face when Chrebet caught that ball. They had a camera on him that entire last drive and it paid off big when we all got to see the only time Keyshawn ever showed any respect for Chrebet. He got this frustrated look on his face and then turned to the guy next to him and and clearly (I read lips) said "I told them they had to cover that little <expetive deleted>."
we burned a keyshawn jersey in the parking lott on that road trip. The cop's litereally kicked us out of the stadium after the game and allowed for the angry fans to throw stuff at us ,.no joke!
Jets: 27 first downs Ravens: 5 first downs Jets: 500 + yards offense Ravens: 170 yards offense Jets: 20 Ravens: 34 Christmas Eve: ruined.....
