I could not agree more. This year we had the benefit this year of a soft schedule. Furthermore we were not outstanding in any phase of the game. Let's just try to get better, If we do that success will take care of itself.
See but stats I could care less about as long as we still get the win. Thats one of the things I like about Mangini is he understands we have to adapt each week because each team is different and has their different strengths. Same goes for our team, it adjusts every week. Remember when we played the Lions and we let Washington run wild all over their defense. He looked like a stud. Then another week when we played the Patriots we used Barlow to run it up the middle and he did well, even though it was one of his few good performances of the year. As long as we understand what were facing I have no doubt any game this season is not possibly winnable.
We have no idea how tough our sched will be, it looks tough now but things change very quickly and teams that look really good now may turn out to be bad and tems that look bad may turn out to be good. Just look at the Jets and Miami the last 2 years, in '05 we were supposed to be very good and they were supposed to suck but they turned out ok and we sucked while last it was the opposite.
Exactly right. And in terms of "jinxing the jets", please. How much more F---g jinxed do you think we could be. Painful after ridiculous playoff losses and nearly 40 years without a Super Bowl... I'm not sweating any further bad mojo. Here's your jinx... Jets will go 19-0 next year."
Haha, awesome post. When you have nothing you have nothing to lose. In the world of mojo, karma and jinxes, we got nothing to lose.
