The logo looks like a jet plane, can it be any clearer?:grin: (before people start jumping on me, this is a joke though obviously I hope beyond hope we are in SB XLII).
I think it makes perfect sense too. I figure that the Jets will be in the Super Bowl in one of the next 3 seasons.
The year of the 8 has been good to us. The 1968 season we won the Super Bowl (I think that's what champ said :grin, 1978 we went from three straight 3-11 seasons to 8-8 and playoff contention, 1988 we went 8-7-1 and knocked the Giants out of the playoffs, 1998 we were 12-4, won the AFC East and went to the Championship Game. So another year or two of steady improvement and the season after this coming one could be our year. Just my thoughts.

Here's some more quasi-numerology to get excited about. 1996 -- Jets disaster, 1-15, coach fired, Parcells hired 1997 -- 8 game improvement, 9-7, Jets just miss playoffs 1998 -- 3 game improvement, 12-4, Jets lose in the Conference Final 2005 -- Jets disaster, 4-12, coach quits/fired, Parcells disciple hired 2006 -- 6 game improvement, 10-6, Jets qualify and lose in first round 2007 -- 3 game improvement, 13-3, Jets clinch division, #2 seed, Super Bowl berth
Well I would definately be a year to remember because I am already gonna be in Phoenix for the Super Bowl but if the Jets were in it I would definately be there. With my old man and my uncle right there with me....

way to go and jinx it guys, and also have ridiculous high hopes our schedule is gonna be so tough... were gonna be grinding for the same record i thnk
i expect more of the same next year, i don't know if we take that 'step' yet, especially with the schedule. we'll defiently be competitive again. it wouldn't be a reach to say we could win the division. if we make the playoffs and turn it on at the right time, anything can happen... just look at the colts. at least one home game would be nice, though.
