I would love it if the military refused any order he gave regarding taking over Greenland ( if it came to that).

Okay, I thought you were suggesting a coup d'etat. That wouldn't be cool at all.

We’ve got a federal force kicking in doors and murdering Americans in the street, destroying relationships with our allies, threatening to take over countries and make them states. nothing would surprise me when pendulum swings the other way..

And the neanderthals who vote for him like it this way. I don't care for it either, but the answer is to vote him out, not decapitate him.

That's what happens when Denmark won't give him a Nobel prize.

I can’t think of anyone who deserved it more than him.

Somehow these days it wouldn't have been much of a surprise.

that’s good. That woulda been a bad look.

Maybe someone was just having fun with Kirk on MLK Day, that was her widow’s annual day to tweet trash about Dr King

I actually never saw this movie, ha.

So check this out on the Timotthy Busfield case. He's sitting there in an orange jumpsuit in handcuffs completely broken, and his defense attorney plays a tape by investigators questioning the two twin child actors who have accused him. The investigator goes through the whole thing of do you know if a someone touches your private parts it's wrong, did Timothy Busfield ever touch your private parts? "No, he never touched my private parts." "Are you saying that he never touched you inappropriately?" "Tim never touched me inappropriately." BOTH KIDS. Not nervous, not crying, voices steady. Wow???

But . . . when you read how the case was built and the grooming behavior, it's definitely off. The two kids were replaced on the show they were in, and Busfield is claiming it's retaliation. He was released on his own recognizance. I guess we'll see what they have against him or if it falls apart.

    Edit: Duplicate post.

That's f'd up. It makes you wonder if this was a witch hunt of some sort. If they end up dropping all charges, will he ever get his reputation back? Probably not, there will always be some who will believe the initial charges as facts.

I read roughly four articles about the charges. Talk about eating your own, it's even more repulsive to prey on the trust of your own people and to use a venerated position to do it. It seems like the authorities were trying to bring this guy down for a while. Innocent until proven guilty, but it's fucking horrendous what happens to indigenous girls and women (raped, murdered, missing, trafficked) and has been for years and NOBODY CARES.

I can see why Native Americans would feel twice as betrayed here, but if it puts a much needed spotlight on this atrocious national problem, then I'm all for it. I'm kind of sick of Canada's elitist posturing in general right about now, but they are exceedingly guilty up there themselves when it comes to this issue specifically, so I changed my mind. I'm going to call it it a North American Problem, because that's what it is.
