LOL. BN referenced all 22, which I found of last year, so I asked what he though of that as an example. Respond in the other thread where I gave you a lot more once you watch the film. You might actually be surprised how badly Fields regressed.

OK, so, it is not good to watch all 22 posted by "podcaster" Kurt Warner and also listen to his analysis? What was your point exactly? And do you think Fields regressed or not this year?

The Jets also got a gift playing the worst two divisions in football all year.

The NFC South can end up with an 8-9 winner or at best a 9-8 winner. Every team in the division has a point differential that’s negative by over a full 30-0 game.

The AFC North has been pretty shitty too although better than the NFC South.

I don't totally disagree with you but as you said, they count the same, and Glenn was the HC when those things happened so we can't take them away or discredit them.

Do you also put an asterisk on the Tampa Bay loss because TB got a pick six in that game? Because a pick six is almost as statistically unlikely as a return TD (16 pick sixes in 2025, 15 KR/PR TDs in 2025).

I'm not saying Aaron Glenn shouldn't be criticized, this year has been an abject failure, but after starting 0-7 (losing 5 of those 7 by one score), trading away our 2 All-Pros, and then starting a UDFA rookie QB for the last month, I can't say I'm surprised by the results either.

Yeah, not watching it. You're very welcome to only respect and respond to people who watch all 22 tape in any capacity. I find that to be a silly flex on a message board.

Well you can’t really do that because then you have to add in the unbelievably improbable Will McDonald block FG return. They negate each other basically.

It’s a miracle the Jets didn’t lose that game by 14 and not for anything, the Buccaneers will finish under .500 this year.

The point is that Fields has gotten worse here and you’re being too stubborn to admit it. He’s been absolutely garbage. He was 9-10 in his previous two seasons before coming here.

Well then I look forward to see his progression when he gets another shot.

He was also traded for a 6th round pick and benched after going 4-2 two seasons before coming here. They decided Russell Wilson was a better option despite a .6 winning percentage.

It's wild that there is plenty to slam Glenn for but a group is dying on a hill to prove he made Justin Fields worse.

As a collective this message board's view proves to be a lot more accurate than Jets FO. But yeah, there are these here like everywhere else who would never change their mind no matter what evidence is presented, don't even want to see conflicting evidence, and would not admit they are wrong no matter what. I still respond as you can see and respect their decisions too. We can always agree to disagree and let others judge for themselves.

I look forward to seeing Justin Fields make huge strides if he gets another opportunity.

He’s not getting another shot and likely never should’ve got a shot here.

There is also a two-way to to blame Glenn and the staff for the Fields disaster. They barely ran him which is the way you move the ball with a guy like him who basically sucks at throwing.

One of two things happened. The staff didn’t recognize this in some bizarre fashion (which I highly doubt) or he openly resisted it.

Either things are terrible signs for the staff.

This is not about Fields, it's about Glenn. He picked a young QB to groom, said he will coach him up, had every confidence in him, and the QB got quite a bit worse. If we keep Glenn, we are basically asking him to do it again. I don't know about you, but I have no confidence it would work and I am very concerned given how it just worked out with the last guy. I am just very surprised you want to rinse and repeat after this failure.

I'll try to find it but I thought there were reports he openly wanted to run less. He was also never doing the option play properly because he didn't want to run. I'm at work and I'm pretty much empty on the Fields/Glenn debate but still try to find when I can

My main point was that wins or losses all count the same, regardless of how the oblong ball bounced around that day and we can't discredit the coach just because it bounced this way or that. The team did those things while he was the coach, which he should get credit for. The team has also done a lot of awful things this year, which he should get criticism for.

I fairness professional nfl Quarterbacks past and present analyzing the all 22 I would say is just as if not more valid then watching it on your own? You make it sound like kids playing on the internet lol.

You sound ridiculous calling people out not watching all 22 tape to make, or counter, a point on a public football message board. Your call on what's worse.

Uneducated on the subject I am speaking on or educated, hmm wonder what's better. BTW I didn't call anyone in particular out about watching anything so not sure where you get that from.

No, I am giving exact links of what I am watching so others can watch too and opine. I do like when reputable people provide analysis and learn, as well as see the film for myself. I find these and post for others on this board to watch as well here and provide their opinions. I am not sure why this is negative. I get it people don't have time to watch, and that's fine, but to dismiss these who do is illogical and shortsighted. And you still haven't answered the question I asked.

Also want to add to this and agree that in theory it seems very “unfair” to try to essentially throw the return touchdowns in the garbage as neither a positive or negative towards Glenn.

But it is truly almost bizarre how many return touchdowns we have this year.

    • The Chiefs as an example haven’t had a single return TD since 2020 when they had one of each.
    • The Eagles also haven’t had one since 2020 when they had 1.
    • The Packers have one since 2015 which occurred in 2022.

We have 3 this year. We had another one called back. We also setup a 2 yard touchdown against the Falcons with a muffed punt.

It’s hard to see that replicated.
