We have now gone 10 years without a single offensive player voted to the pro bowl. Over the last 5 years or so I can recall seeing multiple obscure and not so obscure records of futility that we’ve set. Longest stretch without a playoff appearance, possibly an entire season without an INT…. I know there’s alot more, feel free to list any that you recall.
A couple more: First team to start 0-8 with an 8+ point differential and negative yard margin n every game. (2020) Gase- first coach to have more 20+ point losses than total wins First team to not have a turnover at all in first 5 games Fields failed to reach 50 net passing yards in 4 of 8 starts 2020 we had the worst point differential through 8 games in franchise history
Glenn was the first coach to lose their first 7 games in Jets history. 14 losses is tied with the worst amount of losses in Jets history. 1st team since the 70s that will not have a single 500 yard pass catcher.
We haven't had a winning season in 10 straight years and have only 1 winning season over the past 15. One thing that really puts our ineptitude into perspective for me is thinking about how different my life was the last time we were relevant (the Rex years). I was in college then and I'm now approaching middle aged.
We should sticky this and see how many obscure shitty Jets records we have had lately we can find. Just to have it at the top with all the statistics of glaring ineptitude will be a reminder to anyone that comes on here as well as a deterrent for any future fans.
Curious if anyone knows how many losing seasons we have had compared to winning ones in a time line. Curious to see what my Fandom has represented over the years.
In our 2024 loss to the Rams, we were the first team in history to score less than 10 points in a game where we did not punt once. Hasn’t happened in 74 years
The Jets are the first team to lose a game despite achieving over 20 points scored, less than 250 yards allowed, and zero turnovers in a single game
Jets have faced the PHI Eagles 12 times in the regular and lost every game. Edit: we’re now 1-12, we beat them in our most recent game.
This one really puts the losing in very STARK reality. Lots of teams don't whiff the SB all that often but division titles. Those kind of go on a rotating basis. Except for the good ole' AFCE.
Garrett Wilson's last catch was on the 12th October - despite that he still has the most yards and TD receptions of any Jets receiver
