After watching this Bengal game I'm definitely giving no passes to Glenn after last week. This Bengals defense is beyond horrible, bears just dropped almost 50 on them with ease. It took the momentum from losing a Jets legend coupled with playing against the worst defense I've ever seen to get a win even though our defense was atrocious.

Better stick it again Brook. Some folks revel in misery so we should accommodate them.. Kinda like the ADA except we can call it.. JFDA (Jet Fan Disassociation Act)..

Sticky the F out of it, if I'm going to be in misery either way I might as well revel in it.

Super happy with the coaching staff. Keep doing what you are doing guys. We need the #1 pick. As an added benefit, it could help us can you after just 1 year.

Your lips to God's ears Brook! Glenn's worst coaching job so far was in prime time against the Broncos, this one against the pats will be interesting if he has another terrible game there has to be some chatter.

This team is almost on an every other game schedule. I think we'll be okay on Thursday.

Boss. No disrespect but Pats will probably win by 20 points minimum. If Jets offense scores more than 10 points I will be super impressed.

If the Jets are on the every other week schedule, we'll show up in Foxboro. They play so timidly that they're literally afraid to do anything creative until the game is out of hand. Wilks defense still isn't where it needs to be, and Engstrands' offense is unimaginative and frankly predictable. Both things need to change and I don't see that happening until '26 at the earliest.

We'll lose for sure, but the challenge is not to get embarrassed on the national stage. The bar is so low that if the Jets are competitive on Thursday nite, that's something they can build on.. aka: Moral Victory and yes, they do exist.

Not for nuthin, but we WON TODAY AFTER THE BYE WEEK! Let that sink in for a minnit..

It would be great if the Jets made a change at the end of the year, but after Tuesday's trades, it doesn't matter what they do the rest of the way. Glenn's the one running the show. Mougey is just his "sidekick", per what they said at the introductory press conference. Woody wouldn't let Glenn make these massive, franchise-altering trades at the deadline if he wasn't bringing him back to coach the team in 2026.

the biggest concern is that there is a once in a generation opportunity over the next two drafts to reshape the team and future of this franchise IF they can land a quality young signal caller AND he develops into a franchise QB something this team has not had in 50 years - what have you seen over this season that makes you feel like this is the right team to hand that opportunity to?

Agreed it started out that way with Mooge as a sidekick. But given what he has done recently, is it possible he developed into equal by now? I heard AG's interview recently where he basically said Mooge did all these deals, and AG effectively just signed off. Now I agree with your point that they both stay regardless, just thinking Mooge has proven himself to be more than a sidekick at this point.

The tape being extremely kind to Engstrand is doing it for me personally. He’s got guys running free and the run game has mostly looked good. The QB is the far and away biggest problem with the offense right now.

To me that’s significantly more important than the head coach. How many head coaches that weren’t the offensive playcaller/designer “developed” QBs?

Gotta give props to the staff on two things:

-Isaiah Williams. What a disaster that was and look what it’s turned into. Cut, then PS, then worked back in and he’s playing very well. Crazy what accountability can do!

-Quincy Williams. Was clearly underperforming this year with some boneheaded plays to boot. Benched, became a story, got back on the field and had an absolute monster game. Best he’s looked in two years. Crazy what accountability can do!

My buddy texted the group that it’ll be almost a month since the Jets lost assuming we get rocked Thursday and that usually only happens in the offseason.

One thing that's interesting is that Campbell, an offensive HC, is now calling plays on offense in Detroit and is doing extremely well there - they just scored 40+. He did not like that they were only averaging 30 before :). Glenn cannot do that, he basically needs Tanner to deliver the goods. So far, it's been hard to judge. Fields sucks, yes, but he is doing worse now than ever before. And frankly even Tyrod when he played hasn't looked amazing.

I watched a lot of all 22, and it feels like we should be doing better with the talent we have on offense. And I am not sure if it is on Tanner, like we have good pass pro talent, but I see us beaten schematically a lot. Is it on a QB, a C, Coaches? Probably all of the above. I want more Breece in the passing game. WRs like Smith are open, but they are 3/4/5 read, so the QB does not even get there.

Our passing offense this week amounted to 1 screen pass to Breece. It should not be this bad. Browns have decent defense, but they are not some juggernauts there. They are #17 and gave up about 24 points in average before this game. Nothing super scary there. We only scored 13 in a very ugly way. This is just not good enough, and Tanner cannot be absolved either. I want to see more from him. Both Fields and Tyrod were known to be at least decent QBs until now. I am not saying Tanner is bad, like I said very hard to judge even after watching all 22, but I am not yet convinced on him being able to develop/improve the rookie QB and run great offense with that QB either.

    A few things...

The Lions are Super Bowl or bust, they HAVE to make this work by any means necessary. They are also ridiculously talented on offense in every single way. Probably the best roster in football on talent alone. I wouldn't use the 2025 Lions as a comparison for the 2025 Jets in almost any way.

The all-22 shows a lot of guys open and this is with very little talent on offense. And that's WITH Wilson on the field which he's barely done the last month. Smith is open a lot but yea he's a 3/4/5 read. Most competent QBs get there especially when they have 3+ seconds to throw the ball. Fields is 7th in the league with time to throw, considering that and the amount of times guys are open there's a pretty simple path to follow that leads you to the QB being the problem.

Fields is getting worse but I don't know how you blame the CS for that. All they've done is empower him. Are they scaring him into not throwing? Maybe. And honestly I don't think you can really blame them. He's a terrible thrower and that's where I have to disagree that "Fields was known as a decent QB until now". In one facet he's been great, in all others he's been bottom of the barrel. He's not a decent QB and hasn't been for more than a few weeks of every season he's played. Tyrod hasn't been great but you cannot disagree that the offense opens up with him in the game. He missed both, but the trick play to Lazard and the bomb to Reynolds both should have been TDs. Those plays are absolutely open on a regular basis.

The CS is VERY far from without blame but I see a whole lot more that tells me they are doing their job far better than the QB is.

Tyrod was pressured a lot too, and perhaps that contributed, though he should not have missed these throws plus the one to Smith he underthrew. Still overall Tyrod looked worse than before too. At this point I am open to him or Brady Cook playing though. Probably not on a short week (though if they do it, I am good with it), but if they really feel Fields is such a big problem that basically we cannot have any consistent passing offense with him in, they have to make a change sooner rather than later.

What's left of this season needs to be used for evaluation and development, and you cannot win in today's NFL without passing game anyway. You are not going to get spotted 2 TDs by ST every week. Right now for me Tanner is still a question mark. And I do hope you are right, but it is had to tell from what I have seen, definitely nothing convincing.
