I just finished this season and they teased a more interesting next season. This felt like a filler season, and lacked much pay off for me. The father drama with River was mostly absent and grandpa was on the phone all the time like Suzanne Somers. It wasn't too bad for an afterthought of a season I guess.

Hah. I finished up last night also and was coming here to post pretty much the exact same thing.

Mild spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen it -

Right after Slough House takes out the Libyans, I had to double check the timer on the feed. It would have been a dud ending if that was all of it. Plus, the grandfather’s bee-thing was still dangling. Aside from Lamb’s final scene, those last 10-15 minutes were hardly worth all the setup. But then they close with THAT teaser and everyone who’s followed the show must have had the same reaction. This whole season was like they’ve been slow-playing us.

Looking forward to Taverner at First Desk. I’m less enthralled with how they’ve simplified Lamb’s character into just this sort of rude, sloppy guy who eats junk food, sticks everyone else with the bill, and has an almost supernatural ability to figure everything out silently off-screen and show up out of the blue with all the answers.

I just read that Will Smith is moving on from the show after this season, seems like maybe he phoned this one in. No idea what to expect, but the show will have 2 different writers for seasons 6 and 7.

I agree about the changes in Lamb's character, they turned him into Fart Columbo this season.

I haven't started watching it yet, but the early returns on Pluribus are the best I've seen in a long time

I watched the 1st 2 episodes and it's pretty good. Still early but very promising.

The only thing interesting in this year’s Super Bowl - finding out Netflix is coming out with The Adventures of Cliff Booth. Fortunately, the put that commercial in the first half, or I’d have missed it.

I just finished season 1, Rhea Seehorn is still great. I love shows like this that make me keep thinking about them after they are over. This is why I love real sci-fi and not the spaceships and lasers sci-fi. Tons of philosophical scenarios.
