The only logical explanation is that this is a tankathon at this point… But finally the defense plays well, the ST plays well, and Fields can’t get anything done This was one of the most disgusting QB performances I’ve ever watched for this team, and that is a VERY low bar AG is as much a problem as Fields if he keeps trotting him out there. At this point, if AG keeps doing this, I want him one and done and get the fuck out of here This was to my surprise a very winnable game, and Fields didn’t see a lot of open guys and then the ones he did he missed badly on…that last throw to GW needed to be thrown with anticipation as he was wide fucking open and Fields just can’t do it. At this point that’s on the coaching as Fields has ALWAYS been this guy. Nothing has changed or improved with him. He fucking SUCKS Get him the fuck off my team already…my god how much more do we need to see with this fucking guy? AG presser was a disgrace. On one breath he said our passing game was non existing but then defends Fields as if he was not the primary cause? He holds on to the ball way too long because he can’t process the field of view and players routs fast enough. Disgusting. I had enough of his pressers and getting pissy to protect his most incompetent QB.
I didn’t want Fields and I didn’t want Glenn before the season. So far my gut is looking WAY fucking better than the actual brainiacs who run this team, starting with Woody I want no part of Fields starting any more….I’m having a hard time getting behind a tankathon because (a) I think this team will just mutiny, and (b) I for sure do not trust this team to draft the right QB nor to develop him This is a piece of fucking shit team and it starts with Woody but I am now fulling blaming AG as well…you just can’t trot out Fields as your starting QB. You can’t. There's a decent chance that they will. Maybe getting blown out by Carolina in an empty stadium will be what Woody needs to see in order to start making changes.
It might happen for the next game. But I think he will give him a short leash to start the next game, and if he sucks, Taylor will replace at some point in that game before start of the second half. AG said you don't just bench a key player after a bad game, and pointed out to some solid performances, which I also spoke about here when I still had some hope about him. However, this is the second game out of 5 where his passing performance was worse than majority of the wasted fans at the pregame tailgate. The game against Cowboys also was not good. If AG does not bench him to start, unless this changes, we will see Tyrod at some point next Sunday.
No, I've seen enough. Previously I was clinging on to a hope, thought there was still a chance, but in this game he got everything I said was the issue previously: great defense, TO and penalties problem solved, etc... He needed to get 6 points in the entire game. He ended up with fewer passing yards than anyone who is posting on this board. I think I got my answer. It can happen: Bob I think did that once with Zach: said he is the starter after the game, but then changed his mind. And AG sure said a lot of the same things Bob has. With all that said, you have to remember, it is not an instant coffee league. We have to look at the tape.
It's not so much the fact that he backed Fields as the starter after the game, but rather the way he condescended to the media about how they could ask such a question or "you know better than that" that has me thinking that he has no other choice but to start Fields. Of course, he could very easily make the change, but doing so after that pathetic press conference performance will look beyond ridiculous.
AG needs to grow a pair and bench him period. We gain nothing having him under center. I rather play the rookie and let it rip

Lucky for Fields and Glenn, the next game against the Panthers is in Charlotte. Fields shits the bed again, and the following week they'll be back in MetLife against the Bungals. That will not be a very pretty homecoming.
