Glenn is probably going to be one and done. Who should be HC next year?

Glenn's press conference was one of the all-time bad post-game press conferences.

There's no way that Woody could see this and not be considering making a coaching change.

 

I want to believe in Glenn. At this point it's just pure nostalgia with him. Haven't seen the press conference yet, and probably won't He won't be fired in year one IMO.

 

I wanted to believe is Deshaun Foster at UCLA, but he was always a bad hire too and UCLA has greatly improved since moving on. Jets needs to make the obvious decision with Glenn sooner than later.

 

It's pretty bad when I personally long for the days of Saleh.

Heck, even Gase is probably having a chuckle over this.

 

I'm sure he's laughing from his couch, but more that the Jets hired someone as incompetent he is, so he isn't the undisputed worst since Kotite anymore. But Saleh and Bowles are decent coaches who Woody screwed over.

 

Ultimately, this post demonstrates why the Jets are the worst team in professional sports. We incorrectly believe it starts with the owner, but in reality, it starts with the fanbase.

 

Blaming the fan base for the franchise being awful is one of the dumber takes spouted around here.

If Glenn is to save his job, he has to replace fields. Enough now, he’s not a qb. It’s bringing down the whole ship . They played well enough to win today, fields was the difference .

The Jets have the nicest fans in the league. Any other fanbase would have either abandoned the team by now or burned down the stadium.

I’d say it’s a safe bet that they’ve been hemorrhaging fans over the past decade.

That’s not why you blame the fans (if you actually believe that’s the reason…).

You’d blame the fans for influencing a reactionary owner to the point that he makes more stupid decisions.

Whether that’s the case or not, the owner is still making the decisions, nobody else, so it starts there.

 

I don’t understand how the process always works for other teams but never works for the Jets.

They used same approach that got commanders their GM and HC, it was successful for commanders even though Quinn is a DC when not a HC.

How does it go so bad for Jets every time? It’s not like they haven’t tried different methods to finding a competent CS!!
