When the Jets are on the path to victory, they have a tendency to choose the wrong path once they come to a fork in the road.
True. But largely, especially from 2016 - 2021, it's also been a talent issue. Those Jet teams didn't have much. This team does. While there's still a talent gap between us and Buffalo, Jets can certainly win this game.
they are beatable away from their building by anyone. I don’t think we got it together enough to get it done though. when they are at home, they get away with murder, on top of being a good team. Unbeatable
When someone runs for a touchdown they won’t get hit with a can of beer like Derrick Henry did last week
Lol. I didn't know this happened. Good for Buffalo, they've finally grown up. Usually they throw dildos.
The Jets usually give the Bills a tough time in MetLife. But if the Bills win this game, then they are probably going on a long winning streak. Take a look at their schedule after the Jets game. They might not lose until they start playing the top contenders later in the year.
I'm still trying to figure out how a 5 win Jets team ends up with the schedule that we did. Let's face it, Miami and Carolina are the ONLY teams we "should" beat through, literally, the first HALF of the season! Obviously each year is it's own but dayum! Sunday's game is going to tell me a LOT. If the Jets can hang with the Bills, even beat them, and this whole season's trajectory changes (mentioned this in a different thread). If our team can find a way to beat the Bills...all bets are off and I'll EXPECT them to make a playoff run. Hey, there are only 17 games and if you can hang tough with a Steelers team that they should have beat and knock off the Bills? Yeah, outside of "maybe" the Ravens, there isn't a team left on the schedule that is unbeatable until the Bills, again, in week 18. Damn, there I go again, WISHFUL thinking!
Couldn't agree with you more Mez. This game will tell us a lot about this team, how resilient they are, how they respond to adversity, how tough they play an elite team for four quarters. I'm even more pumped because I get to go to the game Sunday with my family and chant J.E.T.S with my fellow Jet fans. First time in years back to Metlife. Can't wait. Hope they Jets really hang in there and have a winning chance to the last whistle. Go Jets.
Enjoy my man! We "tried" to get tickets, last year, to the 49'er/Jets game. Once my wife and I picked ourselves off the ground after looking at opening day ticket prices, we basically told ourselves that NOTHING was worth that much $$. She got to dance around the house as "her team" laid a beating on the hapless Jets and hastened the exit of one Robert Saleh. I have to be honest, we've stopped attending sporting events. They are simply not worth the amount of $$.
Yeah for sure it’s pricy, but my wife (huge Raiders fan) and I are doing a Stadium Tour trying to get to all the NFL stadiums…kind of like mini getaways, and it’s been a LOT of fun…it’s neat to see the different teams and what the fans do…we try to plan it so we can see either the Raiders or Jets at the games we go to, but doesn’t always work out…so far we have been to about half the stadiums. I gotta say, GB was probably my favorite…it is SUCH a great vibe there…and it didn’t hurt that that was the game the Jets won over there back with Zach at QB a couple years ago. But the fans have for the most part been great…Detroit was fun and the fans were great…that was the Monday night game that got Josh McDaniels fired, so we were both happy about that at least Anyway…a fun time…
Well, these tickets were a sticker shock for me. Believe me. But I haven’t been back to NY for a while and said, damned , it’s now or never. Hope the game makes us proud. I tell you one thing about 49r fans having been there, they are a tough bunch.
This. While we're concerned about OUR defense, Bills have to be just as concerned about THIER defense. Bills' D couldn't stop a nose bleed. Breece was almost unstoppable last week, and ALWAYS lights up the Bills' Defense. Bills fans gotta be like 'Here we go again'
I don't think the schedule is daunting at all. We play the AFC North so that gives us the Ravens Steelers and Bengals. Fine. That sucks. But we also get the Browns. We get the other 3rd place finishers in Denver and Jags (and NFCE 3rd place Cowboys). Not really world beaters. The NFC South might be the worst division in football. ATL, TB, NO, CAR all winnable games. MIA twice and NE twice. It's not a hard schedule. It's just loaded in the first half. That's why week 1 was so important. A winnable game they completely blew. If they could go 3-4 in the first 7, they actually might be playing meaningful games in December.
