Doubtful. The last game can only be a divisional opponent and I don’t think the league is warm and fuzzy about that stadium. They’re more interested in stringing along their fans lol…
The truth is this coming season with this kind of schedule setup reminds me of 2006. That team wasn’t supposed to be any good either and lo and behold while they did lack in talent they took advantage of an easy schedule and won 10 games. I’m not saying that will happen in 2025 but this team does have talent and a brand new coaching staff. The distractions have all been jettisoned. Not a lot of travel other than London and not a lot of short weeks. If they can avoid the injury bug you just never know in today’s NFL.
would hate to work security at the game. On top of being January in Buffalo, those scavenger fans will try to take and steal everything as that game ends
Teams make requests regarding their schedule, and the league is very cognizant of history, sentimental value, etc when making it. I would guarantee it’s not a coincidence, either by the bills requesting it, or the league doing it intentionally, or both.
I love seeing all those 1 pm games baby! The 3 games I want to go to most Pittsburgh, Dallas, Buffalo are all early season games which means the Jets won't be out of it which means they'll be more pricey to get tickets for. If Rodgers signs with Pittsburgh tickets to week 1 may go sky high. On the bright side the weather should be great. Those late season games last year Rams, Dolphins brutally cold I'd like to avoid that this year.
It's the Jets. Haven't made the playoffs since 2010 the longest playoffs drought in American sports? No 'easy' games. Well except when they play Houston we kill them. lol Other teams even bad ones see the Jets on the schedule and think to themselves hey that could be a W there. I'll let the season play out. I still don't see how this team scores many points as currently constructed. Tyrod Taylor may be the best QB on the roster he's not even being given a chance to win the starting QB job. But as Chris Berman said "that's why they play the games".
Always remember that every team that is looking at their schedule sees the Jets on it and thinks that's an automatic win.
Getting pumped for week 1. Its the perfect opener to play Pittsburgh if Rodgers is over there. So many guys are going to want to just unload on Steelers and Rodgers. Garrett Wilson, Justin Fields, Breece Hall, just a few high-profile guys that are going to want to explode and be extra motivated to kick the Steelers asses. reminds me so much of Parcells' 1st game. The guys were just so tired of being the whipping boys and took it out on Seattle, a media darling at the time
Why Rodgers? He passed for 4 TDs in his final game as a Jet. They should shake that man's hand first then go beat him.
Well with the Jets sterling history at the QB position I'm pretty sure 4 TDs in a game by a Jets QB is not something seen often by the eyes of Jets fans. Would it be a stretch to say that a Jets QB passing for 4 TDs in a game is something we can count on almost two hands possibly even one hand since the turn of the century? Vinny may have done it in 2000? Likely in the Monday Night Miracle game? It wasn't a great year for him though if I remember correctly so if it didn't happen then I doubt it happened. My best guess is Pennington may have done it likely some time in 2002 the season finale against Green Bay? Or the playoffs whitewashing of Indianapolis? Or some time in 2004 or 2006. Favre may have done it in 2008 likely against New England in the second matchup or the beatdown of then 10-0 Tennessee?
Actually… Joe Flacco threw 4TDs in a game for the Jets Darnold did it Sanchez did it Even Neil o’Donnell did it too, actually he threw for 5TDs in a game once Hell Ray Lucas threw for 4 TDs in a game for the Jets and he was basically a wide receiver the fact that we don’t remember those games shows that we will clearly forget about Rodgers 4TD meaningless week 18 game. It means nothing https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/who-was-the-last-jets-qb-with-4-td-in-a-game
