Good signing, love the player, wonder why they didnt sign him for more than a year, he'd be nice to have in the secondary for years.

Glenn is sticking to his guns: getting young athletic guys with A LOT of speed. It just feels like he thinks if he can get fast athletic guys who also had some success, he can coach them up to be the best they can be. Like it or not, there is a definite plan in place. We will be faster and more athletic than you and coach from there.

Guy has 8 INT’s in 4 years. Not bad. But he is 24 and only 1 year deal? A little confusing really.

 

It does seem kind of odd. Unless there's a specific reason we're not aware of.

 

He had a down season by his standards - maybe he bet on himself and didn't want to take 2nd year thinking he can do one for 10 mil, play well, and get a lot more guaranteed from then on. I think he is a definite upgrade over safeties we had. 24 years old too. A solid move.

 

Great signing. Really could be a good one here. Proven nfl player and young. Would’ve given him more years tbh.

 

Well I wish we locked him for at least 2 years to be honest.

They changed schemes, that Jags defense was one of the worst defenses in the league last season under Nielsen though. Couldn't get off the field, gave up chunk plays...no one really did well. Cisco has a knack for the ball so hoping he'd become what Kirby Joseph was for the Lions...

I had the Jets signing him in my mock so I like the player and like the move. Dude flies around. Sucks to only get him for a year.

I would still rather see us attack the offensive line rather than the secondary though..

 

Wonder why only a one year deal. Apparently last year was a little bit of a down year but seems like a solid player from all I'm seeing

 

It is strange. About the only thing I can come up with is both the player and the franchise want to see what things look like after the year is over. If the team does well and he flourishes I'm sure they could add years. Could also be personal reasons. Hard to say.
