One of these days, maybe someone will explain to Woody that the best way to keep the Jets in the news is to actually win football games, preferably in January and February.
I just read that the 49ers informed Kyle Juszcyk (spelling) that he is being released. I would sign that guy in a heartbeat....he has the ability to Jumpstart our run game singlehandedly
I second this. He's on the back 9 as well but he definitely has some in the tank and he's exactly this. That guy always hits a big run/catch when the team needs it.
The Jets, and the majority of the fan base, love these numbers! Say way more about how pitiful we've been.
Exactly…..keep throwing darts eventually you may find a diamond in the rough. I also don’t think Travis has a guaranteed roster spot….some here seem to think he does.
Key positions I'm looking for now is at WR and TE. Need a lot of help there though clearly this is going to be a run-heavy team. RT has a big hole and would like to see a starter added in the coming days, even if a stopgap. DT badly needs help. Maybe another LB as well though will depend how often Wilks deploys a 3rd LB. Looks like the secondary is set (save for depth) although obvious questions about Brandon Stephens as CB2, but with the Cisco signing and Adams tender looking more likely they do see him as a CB so we'll just have to see how he looks.
Somewhat relevant but for next year...can someone explain to me what in the fuck is going on down in Carolina? That moron, Tepper, just signed Horn to a $100 mil over 4 years. Well, that's the starting point for Gardner next year and, unless he finds the fountain of tackling, we just lost the reup and will be looking to replace him next year. So, maybe NOT just a next year problem but a this year problem as well. The Jets should be looking for more in the secondary than what they've been doing so far this year. In some respects, David Tepper makes Woody Johnson almost look "serviceable" on some things.
Who else are we going to pay? Just pay Sauce Gardner and be done with it. He's a good player. We don't have a QB so what does it matter lol
My ass... If Gardner puts up a similar year as he did last, then I'm down with drafting a guy. I'm NOT going to condone throwing, what will probably be, $30mil+ per year on a damn guy that CANNOT tackle! I don't give a crap WHO it is. I tackle better than Gardner does and I'm middle aged!
