Bingo. Glenn and the GM do not last long if Rodgers has success elsewhere. They will be both liable and will lose their jobs fast.
That's literally how reporters report things in 2025. They have two ways of getting information out to the public: (1) Tweet, or (2) Go on WFAN. I couldn't even tell you what newspaper he works for.
So again, who were the guys who wrote the "'Rodgers is the best available QB and everybody on the Jets loved him...' stories"? That's not even close to this X posting. When you use quotation marks, you use the exact words - who wrote that?
By and large the media as a whole, and especially anything coming out of NY, has lost pretty much credibility when it comes to talking about Aaron Rodgers. 99% of that just goes wherever the wind is currently blowing as far as what is going to generate the most buzz and clicks. I'll say it again though...the Giants are terrible fit for Rodgers. Anybody trying to talk that up is being just as delusional as the people who talked up the bad fit move to our annual dumpster fire offensive gameplans as being "super bowl bound" lol Guessing things are starting to feel a little panic'y for him with Raiders coming off the potential landing spot board. Not that they were an ideal landing spot either, but they were likely a better odds bet then most to end up actually offering him a job before making that deal on Gino. If Rodgers is not reaching out to Seattle and basically telling them whatever they want or need to hear...he needs to be asap.
Rodgers will be just fine. If im him, im in no rush and if he has to, wait until a QB gets hurt when the season starts.
Being in no rush likely just ends up with the league taking the decision to retire out of his own hands. Dude is 42 and catching on as a backup somewhere isn't an acceptable outcome here for him. If Rodgers doesn't walk into 2025 when a starting gig somewhere he's done playing as far as the league will be concerned, and he is certainly smart enough to realize that.
As I posted in another thread i really suspect Cousins ends up snaking that opportunity once cut and when *he* doesn't get a better opportunity offer. Why take on all the Rodgers baggage when you can just plug and play a guy back in who was a highly productive QB in that system 2 seasons ago when fully healthy? I mean the floors are probably similar, and he essentially offers Rodgers' likely 1 season ceiling there without all the Rodgers BS lol
