please god no. that would be what i would consider the WORST possible thing they could do in the draft. id prefer almost anything else to drafting sanders even at 7
This seems like a bad year to be in need of a QB. I wanted Rodgers gone because I really dislike him & losing with him vs losing with someone else. I opt for losing with someone else. However if I’m being honest and were the owner/GM/Coach probably would makes more sense to have kept him. lol
Well, Stafford re-upping with the Rams shuffles the potential landscape around some. Que the spicy reports that with the Stafford trade possibility dead the Giants are now shifting their attention over to the Aaron Rodgers possibility.
The drafting of QBs is such a crapshoot. Who really thought the Trevor Lawrence draft class would be ass And the CJ Stroud/Hayden Daniels one would be one of the best in many years
Me!? And a whole hell of alot of other voices around here. We just get called darksiders and trolls when we do.
i heard someone talking about kirk cousins today. it was bart and carlin. after hearing them talk about it, i really dont think its the worst thing that could happen. draft a young guy in round 2-3 go with cousins and taylor with either the kid they drafted last year if he is healthy or a young qb.
Saw my first 2rd. mock and it has the Jets taking Dart in the 2nd. I'm not a fan but some stupid team is going to pick that kid in the 1st. As it stands, I'll reiterate for the final time that I think I've landed on the Fields bandwagon and look to 2026 draft for a QB. Not sure what I'm thinking if Fields doesn't leave Pittsburg. I've seen a handful of articles stating that Pitt, now that Stafford is off the table, not going with a bigtime FA and running it back with Fields. I mean, the kid had a winning record when they pulled him for Wilson. Which, I thought was asinine but whatever. If Fields is no longer on the table, what do the Jets do with that?
My gut tells me we end up with Sanders. My only concern is if Vegas passes on him with Brady and co at the helm. 1. Ward 2. Carter 3. Hunter, giants are win now. They went after Saff and will do same here. 4. pats not qb 5. Jags not qb
Yeah, but he will come at 1/30th of the price even if Rodgers takes a pay cut, because Kirk is already paid by Atlanta a year in advance, and will come only for vet's minimum. So, Kirk IS a better option overall than Rodgers. Play-wise very similar, but 1/30th of the price, which is significant. So yeah, Kirk won't make us better than Rodgers at QB, but he will give much more money to sign other players to make us better overall.
I get that yeah, hes cheaper I would hope. At this point though idk that Cousins is that much better than Taylor
I am not sure either Rodgers or Kirk are better than Taylor either, just that Taylor won't last, that much I do know. At this point I would be really disappointed if we cannot get Fields. It looks like rumors were swirling about Fields to the Jets during the combine week, and I hope it happens on March 10th.
I think Fields, Taylor and Travis is about as good as the jets could do at QB this year without mortgaging their future. We already are down a 3rd rounder this year (Adams) and next year (Reddick), thx to Douglas.
Cimini said the Jets put Jalen Milroe through extra, private workouts at the combine Very interesting to me. In terms of non-1st round QBs I do like him the most. God has blessed him, top of the charts athleticism. A+ arm strength. you can coach up everything else, you can’t coach that
If we draft Sanders.. I will sacrifice my computer monitor to the NFL gods. I can't handle it already. lol
So was Jeremy Ruckert. I used to like stories like that as well as somebody being from the NY/NJ-area, but I'm souring on that
Also an academic Heisman finalist. I'm open to Milroe though he'll definitely need a lot of work and time so even the top of the 2nd feels a bit rich. But either way they may need a pretty long bridge QB if he's their pick. I don't think he's as far along as Jalen Hurts was coming out of Alabama
