Seriously? You add one other writer to the mix and you call that a consensus? Do you call any writer you agree with a consensus? Sheesh!

I agree. The draft isn’t giving us a savior. Cam Ward and Shadeur Sanders are not elite, and likely not going to be there by our pick. Fields is probably 75% or more to not work out for us either, but there’s at least a glimmer of hope. Most importantly he’d be easy to structure a contract to keep him if he hits or dump him if he doesn’t.

I have a feeling in my gut that Sanders will fall to us and I don't like it.

Unless video footage comes out of Carter punching a toddler as he's smoking meth, Carter ain't dropping to 7 ;)

Kipers mock draft has Shadeur Sanders falling to the Jets at 7!

I think it's possible he falls much farther than us... I'm not a fan of his game overall. Way too much hype involved because of the name. That's what I don't like.

I feel like AG doesn't give a shit about hype though. So I feel secure with that at least.

I have been waiting a long time for a DE's college tape to remind me of Von Miller's college film but Abdul Carter is the first.

    In order of possible availability;
    Will Johnson CB
This will appear nuts to some/many of you but I don't see Sauce Gardner getting a long-term contract. He's someone else's draft pick that doesn't tackle DJ Reed will be gone. Former CB Aaron Glenn would jump all over this if Johnson is available.
    Mason Graham DT
Those that think hell no since we already have Q - don't be surprised if he gets traded right before the draft. No one is safe from trade when a new regime shows up. Plus the twitter thumbs down when NYJ moved on from Rodgers isn't something easily forgotten.
    Will Campbell OT
Loading up on O-linemen can't hurt. We certainly could use someone to step right in at RT. But I hear he might have short arms. We'll see.

I think I would inly consider Cam at 7. And I am not even sure if I would draft him.

A trade down a few spots wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world, but then, you need a good player to be there at 7 in order for someone to want to trade up, and if it is a good player then we could use him too…

I haven't watched too much of Cam yet. I'm about to dive into his tape soon. I have a feeling I'm going to feel the same though.

You run to the podium for either Ward or Sanders if they are there at 7. I can understand not wanting to trade up for those guys but to have them fall into your lap is a different story

    My ass you do...

Take a good damn look at the QB landscape for the next 3 years and you tell me if any of the possible college QB's, coming around in that 3 year span are better than these two this year. Hell, I can think of at least 3 that aren't just better but lights out better. IF these idiots take one of those two useless QB's, in the 2025 draft, you can kiss the next 3 years goodbye. I want Z-E-R-O part of either one of those two. There are a LOT better options for QB for 2025/2026 AND better use of the 7th pick in this year's draft. It's not even worth debating.

You're not wrong. It just never seems like the Jets are in the market for a QB when years, like last year, come along. To be honest, last year, what they should have done is told Rodgers to fuck off, killed the trade with Minny and picked between J.J. McArthy or Bo Nix. BOTH of which are better than what is in this draft. McArthy is a ? but they intended to start him over Darnold before the injury. I trust that coaching staff. I don't need to say shit about Bo Nix. He had the season he had. Sean Payton or not. Not the Jets, thanks to Douglas inability to cobble an O-line together or provide proper coaching, they HAD to take an OLine. I know I'm rambling and what not. I'm just frustrated. No biggie. I'm just watching the combine and I'm seeing all these talented kids that always seems to elude the Jets.

I think Shadeur would do well here. He is very fundamentally sound. Tyrod is a good QB for him to learn from too because Tyrod doesn’t take chances, Shadeur took too many chances in college. He could sit and learn from him and then I think he would do well. Accuracy travels
