My gut on all players Mason Graham-Probably BPA if he’s available. I guess are we having this talk if we have a competent NT next to big Q? Lot of money for a position that is not that important. Plus, Quinnen is getting a lot of money. Draft in rd 2 or heavy FA DT. Abdul Carter-Unless they fall in love with him, isint he small to be a DE? Could be a rotation of JJ, Carter, WMcD but that’s a lot of first on the same position. banks/campbell: Yes. When in doubt, build the OL like the Lions. McMillan: will be a candidate if available (don’t think he will be). Can’t imagine Adams staying. Will Johnson: no. Not when you have to pay sauce next year and MC2 has a decent extension get a good CB2 in round 2/4 or move Carter outside. Always like the play of Echols on D anyways. trade back: yes. RD1: OT/WR RD 2: DT or Safety
Idunno if NFL teams consider guys like this but North Dakota State’s QB Cam Miller has a live arm and can run. 54 starts I believe they just said. Might be worth a camp invite.
I'd like a trade-down to 20, get extra picks & grab Wyatt Milum (OT) from West Virginia and plug him in at RT.
I think your strategy would be perfect. We may have to look toward someone else besides Milum for right tackle, though. Milum’s arms reportedly are less than 33 inches.
It’s the right draft to trade down if there ever was one. I’m not sold on Tet McMillan. Big, strong, fast but I don’t know if he’s going to use his body to bully NFL corners and I don’t think he’s twitchy enough. Outside of that I don’t think you’re seeing a huge difference in tackles taken in the teens versus top ten which is where I think we should be looking. Build a wall. Milum might be a guard at the next level but where ever he plays he should be a devastating run blocker.
Welp, I’ll start taking my lumps again now like I did before we drafted Zach. There is not a QB in this draft worth taking in the first 4 rounds. Not one.
Oh jeez. Although I don't put the most stock in arm length (Carter Warren measured long the 2023 combine) -- that is very short to be an OT.
Kyle McCord and Oronde Gadsen played so well this week they opted out of Shrine Blwl. Mentioned their names all over this board. McCord may be QB 3 in this draft.
For TE, I expect Warren and Loveland to be taken late round 1 or early round 2. Mason Taylor is the player I see being available when we pick in round 2. I'll need to research some other prospects at the position.
If he has already been mentioned please forgive me. But there is one QB I think that could be successful here. Actually reminds me of Goeff somewhat. Kyle McChord can make every throw on the field, he doesn't make stupid plays, he doesn't make WOW plays hence why he is getting no love. He was recruited to Ohio St, transferred to Cuse and turned that entire team around. To me, that's the kid to draft.
I'm very intrigued too. Problem is, we have a high 2nd round pick then a late 3rd. High 2nd feels too high (or is it?) and have to imagine he'd be gone by the late 3rd
Hard to say, if you feel he is your QB, go after him in round 2, maybe a trade back. This Gasden mya be out of reach with our late 3rd but I love him as a tweener TE propsect. The good news is we can get these guys if we want..
I doubt he falls to 7 but who knows with the draft! If Travis Hunter is there at 7 I want him. I think he's definitely going to play both positions in the NFL, he's a better CB than a WR. He's more of a slot receiver in my eyes, so he most likely won't be playing every snap. Him with Sauce creates quite a tandem and I like the explosiveness he brings on both sides. Would be a home run pick, if he fell.
Hunter is a football guy through and through as well. From a culture building standpoint he would be good for this team.
