So dramatic. He's not even close to the worst candidate out there. He led the Dolphins to back to back winning seasons for the first time in almost 20 years when they were a trainwreck franchise.

He's a disciplinarian and that's exactly what this team needs.

The guy sued the NFL for racism because he didn’t get a job and I’m the one being dramatic? I’d hire Ron Rivera before hiring Flores.

SanFran media and talk forums want either Saleh or Ulbrich as the new DC for SanFran.

Agreed....he's difficult to get along with and NOT a team player. Followed him extensively in the Miami media.

His lawsuit is garbage. Bill Belichik thinks he is texting Brian Daboll -- instead, he's texting Brian Flores !! -- and says congrats on getting the Giants job. Well, he thought he was texting Daboll. Honest mistake.

Instead, Flores sues the Giants (!!) for "discrimination" as if Bill Belichick -- who last worked for the Giants in 1991 -- is somehow in charge of making coaching hires in 2022. That would be news to John Mara and Steve Tisch. :D

I want NO PART of Flores. Backstabbed his own GM and Owner and Tua, too, in Miami.

He'll have major problems with the NYC media. He had problems in Miami. What's he going to do when there are 4x as many people to deal with ?

He'll bring discipline, toughness, and accountability to this laughingstock organization. That's what matters most. Not to mention he's a good coaching mind.

You want his other baggage ? Guy is quick to blame others for his own faults....never took responsibility in Miami.

The lawsuit shows his character. A friend of his mistakenly tells him he's got the Giants job....and his reaction is to sue THE GIANTS for the mistake ???o_O

That's like this website goes down for a month and the guys running it decide to sue the Coca-Cola Company !! :D

Aside from The Fake Spike, I like Aaron Glenn. :D

But he's simply a good DC and not some must-have future HC. Who knows, Woody may be thinking of selling and he figures Aaron is just a placekeeper.

This pick doesn't inspire me. Had we moved faster on Vrabel, yeah. And if Ben Johnson would have taken an interview, I wouldn't have let him leave the complex without a signed deal. Even at $20 MM a year.

If he makes them a better team that's all I care about. And he's proven to do that. See Miami.

All his other "baggage" is conjecture and gossip and nothing more than frivolous hot air.

Clearly you have your mind made up on this but the whole point of the text in question is that occurred 3 days before he even interviewed with the Giants.

He is claiming this is proof that the Giants put him through a sham interview. He's not "suing for the mistake" as you say with bolded text and emojis.

And for what it's worth other coaches have followed him. This is a class action lawsuit

I’m perfectly fine with hiring the coach before the GM. I find this route leads to better success than vise versa. The coach should be the one advocating for a certain GM because that’s the person assembling the team and pieces he needs on the field. For once we have the right strategy.

Flores is lucky to be even coaching and not selling hot dogs outside the stadium. The guy is a complete self absorbed, know it all prick that nobody he coached or coached with vouched for.

Accountability? As in sue the NFL because you rightfully didn’t get a job? That kinda accountability? A good coaching mind has losing records, never made the playoffs, created conflicts with players and coaches? But hey he runs a decent defense, amirite? Brian Flores is an emotional disaster.

You sound like an emotional disaster when it comes to Flores. Holy yikes. We get it. You don't like the guy. He's a good coach and exactly what this team needs. His results in Miami on the field speak for themself. Back to back winning seasons after that team was putrid for years.

I think Glenn is the favorite now because they haven't really interviewed any good candidates yet, he may be the only one. A lot of shit to mediocre candidates and Glenn so far. So as of right now, he is a front runner. And it may very well stay that way, but this week there will be a couple of good ones, like Brady for examples. Would be interesting to see what the buzz will be then.

We have to be fair here. We didn't make play-offs for 14 years. I don't give a shit about a winning season without play-offs. We NEED to make play-offs. And even in his 10-6 season he lost to key games to AFC teams, failing when it matters, causing him a play-off tie breaker. And as far as Miami and results, they had a coach before him for 3 years and a coach after him for 3 years. Gase before him did better than him in 3 years with worse QB, making play-offs once. McDaniel was a coach after him and did better than him by making play-offs twice. What results? He did worse than the the coach before and after in the same time span as they did!

And this is on top of numerous red flags. Didn't get along with staff, including multiple QBs, who still shit on him. Didn't get along with players. Didn't get along with owner. Didn't get along with League. Didn't get along with other teams that interviewed him. Didn't get along with his mentor. Awful assembling offensive staff, cycled through many failed OCs and fired Ben Johnson. Burnt all the bridges and connections. Still as a DC I would hire him in a heartbeat. I think he can build a solid defense. But a HC? No, no, and hell no!

    this is so funny-wrong.

Flores "fails where it matters" and "loses key games to AFC teams" in Miami

McDaniel has way better players with Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, etc. But he also fails where it matters and loses key games to AFC teams. And yet hes a good coach

and to start your comment with "we have to be fair" LOL

Funny? Even Gase made play-offs there in the same 3 years. Did Flores make play-offs? You want next 3 years with two winning seasons and no play-offs? What matters to you? To me play-offs matter. Flores failed and the other two guys, before and after, one of whom came here and sucked, did better in Miami. You main not like it, but it is fair, these are actual results, and Flores didn't deliver the goods. At least not the kind of good we need.
