More than just the physical (that part was easy... well it was then I'm a bit busted up now) They did have a "refresher" crash course that was a few days then have to repass the exams/drills. I would have to redo the whole EMT course though

they've been threatening us with that for 22 years now haa haa! trying to lighten the mood, the news and videos you see on youtube and facebook are taxing as all fuck.
I read the other day that it's now 100% contained, 85 now confirmed dead, the missing count has declined fairly steeply.
Well, there you have it. PG&E caused the Camp Fire. Antiquated shitty power lines. The lawsuits will probably bankrupt them. The link I had kept freezing, but yeah, it was them.
Instead of starting a different thread (not necessary), wishing all those affected in CA by the devastating Pacific Palisades/Eaton/other spots in LA safety. Please let's make a community effort to keep it civil so the thread doesn't get shuttered. Blessings to all the firefighters, emergency personnel and volunteers. To any posters in the area(s) affected, I hope you are doing OK.
Was going to post something in the weather thread .just horrible. Once again. I can’t imagine living there under the threat of this constantly happening. Family in northern cal, tell me they are more afraid of hurricanes.
I know have 2 cousins out there whose houses have burned to the ground. 1 of them their house burned to the ground about 10 years ago.
Horrible to see what's happening. Couldn't imagine my own property burning down, but thousands of houses around you burning down as well.
My heart goes out to those Cali families who are homeless…from celebrities to ordinary folk prayers for them! So whether it is Nature or a sole arsonist what government officials were planning for this?? Reducing the water budget wasn’t smart .. Also , Mayor of LA runs out of town beforehand and Gavin Newsome telling a distraught mother after fire destroyed her home he’s “ calling the President “ when no one has cell phone connection in area??! ( saw all this on News) I miss Schwartzenneger
Yeah, it doesn’t look good on that end. Those Santa Ana winds and dry air are tough to contend with. But this kind of thing happens every year. They need to come up with something to atleast give a fighting chance at minimalizing when this starts . But it’s also probably easy for me to say that, when all it takes is one small ember floating to where ever to spark a fire in seconds.
It’s the Forest and Trees that are not being trimmed or cut down per environmental agenda Plus the Fire Department was underfunded andLA Chief there angry at Mayor says they let them down cause of amount of water available There has got to be compromises and changes ! I watch all the news channels MSNBC cnn etc But lately Fox News is making the most sense imo God forbid there’s an Earthquake out there ..but probably coming (sigh)
