He got passed up on last year and this year his offense regressed significantly even before the injuries to the WRs. I won't say he's trash but a guy who was already passed up by multiple teams and then regressed when he went back to his old job doesn't seem like the guy who is gonna turn around a 15 year trainwreck.

It should've been obvious they would regress offensively some this year. Last year was unprecedented. Just like I dont think the Commanders will be as good on offense next year

I dunno when you add Stefon Diggs to your team and get back Tank Dell you should at least be average.

diggs didn't even last half the season

    tank dell was shot

clearly there was a lot of adversity there... and they are hosting a playoff game anyway

If Rex will be DC, neither Kingsbury nor any candidate who isn't terrible will touch the job with a 10 foot long pylon.

Regress some, sure, but 19th in points, 22nd in yards is not great... He does have Stroud too. I just think there are better choices.

Regardless of any of this... my point is a guy who was passed up by a bunch of teams is probably not the guy for a massive job like this. I barely even think Aaron Glenn is but of the first-timers he's the best option.

We also requested an interview with McCown. I don't think he's the right guy but Flores at HC and McCown at OC is something I would welcome.

Hiring Vance Joseph would be the most Jets thing ever.

Btw, these who are employed cannot have face to face until Jan 20th, per NFL rules, all are on zoom before that. So, unless it is Vrabel, it will be a few weeks before we get this sorted out.

They can zoom calls I believe after Jan 8. Not ideal though.

Yep, after Jan 8 for these not making play-offs. Jan 8 though Jan 13 for bye teams: KC and Detroit (Borganzi, Glenn, Nagy, etc). Others can do zoom 3 days after their teams' this weekend's play off games (depending on the day of the game) and until the 19th. After that starting 20th face to face, but only with the teams no longer in play-offs. Face to face with teams still in play-offs can go after their team loses or SB, but no earlier than 20th.

Got to be patient, it will take some time.

I will never understand why Vance keeps getting interviews for the head coach position? Vance is a terrible head coach and if Jets hire him, I am done with the Jets until Vance gets fired
