Is it too early for a Tankhaton thread?

You know, I agree about enough with the Jags, and I was also thinking that Lawrence was the only franchise QB in that draft, so OF COURSE we have to end up with the #2 pick not the top one and miss out on the only real QB in that draft. Zach, Trey Lance, and Fields all suck.

But then as I’m reading this, I had to just say well, if you draft that franchise QB, and if you are still picking top overall in the next couple of years, maybe he’s not really a franchise QB?

I haven’t followed Jacksonville closely enough to know why they continue to suck, and I do know that TL did get them into the playoffs a couple years ago, so don’t really know what is wrong there, but kinda funny…maybe TL isn’t all that?

 

Lawrence is alright, but he's more average than elite. Darnold might actually be better, though it's hard to tell because Lawrence hasn't played for as good a team as the Vikings.

It’s amazing the year we choose to suck the most is when the top of the draft isn’t that good, the jets never cease to get it wrong

 

Only 1 QB in the last 30 years has been drafted #1 and has delivered a championship to the team that drafted him; Peyton Manning.

It's overrated to get the #1 pick, it doesn't solve all your problems by any means.

 

If we get the #1 pick, we should do what they should have done with that #2 pick a few years ago: trade it for a big haul to another QB desperate team and stockpile some quality draft picks.

 

Lawrence looks to be good not great - he is no Mahomes - plus he is on a really bad team that just to always be bad and a single player can't change that - with Mahomes he was a great player that went to a good team that is really well coached.

The Texans took what looked like a ridiculous cheap shot hit on him in their game - wouldn't be surprised if he was out for a game or two.

 

I been saying for 2 years now that this whole Rodgers Saga, from Day 1 of that Hackett signing on, was basically just the new defining version of "Only the Jets" stupidity playing itself out.

I think drafting the Sanders kid just to watch him predictably sit out a year (which his Dad is 100% going to commit to) and forfeit our pick might be about the only thing more "Only the Jets" stupid that could top that.

 

There is no-one that looks to be worth taking #1 in this next draft - trade the pick (not that we'll get it)

Sanders is the best QB in the draft bar none. Not sure what college football you guys are watching.

Assuming he commits to coming to play here, he’s a great player. No idea why people don’t like him? He’s “flashy?” Who gives a fuck? He works hard as fuck (Google his pregame routine), is coached by a Hall of Fame football player, has gotten sacked a million times in two years and keeps on firing touchdowns.

You guys should go watch some college football games before commenting on clips and headlines.

Yeah I think people with strong opinions against Shadeur clearly haven’t watched him play. They just dislike Deion so they must dislike his kid, so lazy.

Shadeur is good QB. He grew on me even. Because… I watched him play, go figure.

It doesn’t matter how good Sanders has played. You know him on the Jets is a recipe for disaster. I can see it a mile away. That is why @Jetsfansince95 posted that. Nothing against the kid himself, it’s just the high drama media crap that would come along with him and Deion.

 

So we’re going to avoid good players because we’re a dogshit franchise and we’re scared about what happens if we draft good flashy players?

That’s a loser mentality. Go get good football players. This franchise needs something like Shedeur and Deion. We’ve been awful for FIFTEEN FUCKING YEARS.

Colorado was a dreadful program for 25 years and they fixed it in 18 months.
