Nothing there says statistically we have a bad defense. 18 teams have given up more points. They are ranked positive in performance versus rated opponents. Can someone just admit you guys are arbitrarily ranking them based on feelings and not stats? Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk
Eight hours later and I'm still pissed about those two idiots dancing after the sack in the second quarter down 10.
According to the eye test. It would be nice if they would stop giving up constant first downs after having a team 2nd and 18, and 3rd and 9 or worse. It's just ridiculous.
After that pathetic excuse for a last drive, we definitely can talk about him. That rookie quarterback type backwards flip with no timeouts was bad enough, but then to hold the ball on the last play and actually take a sack... I knew the Jets are where good players go to die, but I had no idea they had a time machine and turned Hall of Famers back into rookies.
I hope you're not giving them an excuse because they were on the field too much. That was a tired excuse prior to this year when they were outplayed early in games constantly and didn't have enough time to be on the field too long, and it's certainly not the case this year. It is just a flat-out bad, overrated, weak ass, soft defense.
Yep, another goal to go situation ends in failure. Whoever they bring in at coach needs to be a red zone guru. This team is awful in the red zone and this isn't new, but we can't scape goat Zach Wilson anymore. There is no creativity whatsoever in the play calling. Colts successfully ran 2 bootlegs with Richardson and he scored both times. Why can't the Jets do plays like that? Plus the play calling on the final drive was just awful. Not sure how they wasted all of their timeouts and yet still went for plays in the middle of the field with no time on the clock. Really stupid.
Yeah, losing JFM shouldn't have regressed the defense this much. I get that the secondary has been banged up, but they were mostly there for this game and still were awful. Crazy how every unit on defense has taken a step back this year. The one BIG thing I can blame JD for is the Hassan Reddick BS. He should have never gone after him and should have been more informed on the contract situation.
Since Ulbrich took over though they are giving up over 26 points per game, that puts them among the worst in the league they just let Anthony Richardson, one of the most inaccurate QBs ever to play in the NFL to have his best passing game
THIS is SO Jets. NOTHING says Jets more than our everlasting ability to make shit and rookie QBs look like All Pro’s when they play us. That’s been the case for decades.
Who cares about stats? Especially from a team that’s spent the vast majority of the last 3 years losing almost the entire game, many times by double digits. You see how this defense performs on the rare occasion they get a lead, they immediately give up points and lose it.
Right…the stats are what they are. But the problem is that doesn’t show you the “when” or the situation. Yesterday, AR walked off the field with a 5 point lead and less than what, 3 minutes? Our vaunted D gave up a field-long drive to a shit QB. Period. All they needed was a stop. Couldn’t do it. When we NEEDED a stop to win a game, they gave up a LONG drive. To Richardson. Guy completes half his fucking passes but he looked great against us all day…
Just because Ulbrecht sucks as a head coach and defensive coordinator, doesn't mean that Salah didn't suck as a head coach and deserve to be fired. He did. The problem isn't that he was fired ... the problem is that Woody was too stupid to replace him with a known-quantity from outside the building (Rex, Vrabel, Carroll, etc).
