I said coin flip because statistically only about 50% of top 10 drafted QBs even become mediocre and even less become great. It's not like drafting that #1 overall Edge rusher or a top 5 OT. QBs are just a valuable position so they are over drafted. Most don't become franchise QBs.

This guy has to go. The team is fucked for at least 5 years now.

woody should mandate a full tank mode

I don’t think he has to mandate anything. JD and company ARE simply that bad without ever trying to be, the tanks have happened every year for 6 years without trying.

What has always amazed me is the cult level fellating of every move on this board when his strategic approach to team building and coaches has been shit from year 1.

What Woody should do is fire him tomorrow to put everyone on notice as to whether they will be here next year or not. Tape doesn’t lie.

woody needs to fire every single person in the organization from top to bottom and start over by hiring a ex good gm as a consultant, that’s the only way the jets will get anywhere

Woody Johnson needs to fire himself. He is the problem with this organization.

Assuming he gets fired and Woody goes overseas for an ambassador roles it’s the perfect time for a VP of football operations. NFL should mandate it.

    Maybe then we’ll get results.

There's no reason for them to. The other AFC teams get a slightly better chance of making the playoffs with the Jets doing what they're currently doing. It's in nobody's interest other than us Jets fans for anyone to actually fix the Jets.

Can't wait for this time next year when we can celebrate the 15th anniversary of our last playoff trip.

I was pretty sad watching one of the games and seeing the graphic of the Jets having the longest playoff draught by FIVE years.

    2010 seems like another universe.

Amen bro.... he has had more then enought time to fix this team and IMHO, I believe the culture is worse then when he took over... Look no futher then the 3-8 record.

he has amassed a collection of players (do not consider them a team) that have checked out, except for mabe two or three.

True enough, though I think the real issue is the Jets remain very profitable even with an embarrassing product. As long as they make money they’re “fine”.

    That's because it is.

When I think of all of the major milestones and moments in my life that have passed by without seeing this team in the playoffs, it all feels like a massive waste.

The good thing is that the Patriots seem to have found Justin Herbert Jr.

Let’s hope they make some bad decisions moving forward in surrounding him with talent because Maye looks like the real deal.

And the team with the next longest draught is likely to make the playoffs this year so it'll be even worse.

Really? Then people would say he's meddling.

At the same time, I don't believe the league would like to find out some day from a disgruntled former Jet that the owner was encouraging players to throw games.

The league found out the Dolphins owner was mandating a tank and nobody cared. Ross is a respected owner in fact, he wasn’t forced to sell or anything

If the league knows a team is tanking, they can turn it into extra gambling bucks because they are in that business.

Yep. He looks, very, very good. It pains me to say it. The Jets make it look so terribly hard to draft a quality QB. Yet the Patriots are only about 5 years removed from Tom Brady and they seem to have found their guy.
