How competitive is this team if you combine the rosters of the Jets and Giants? I think it still might not get a WC berth in either league. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk
It would still be a crap team. This Jets roster is not good. The Giants might actually be better than the Jets, they are just, amazingly, worse at QB. Both teams suck.
The Jets have a good roster but terrible coaching. It's completely and totally on the coaching at this point. We have amnesia if we think guys like Wilson, Hall, Quinnen and Quincy WIlliams, Gardner, Tucker, and Adams are not top notch talent. The problem is that the coaches are not preparing the team, not calling good plays, not holding guys accountable, not working on fundamentals, and are neither showing or inspiring leadership. Under any other coaching staff in the league right now, this team would be Super Bowl contenders. Ulbrich was a subpart defensive coordinator and is showing himself to be an incompetent head coach. Saleh wasn't much better. Hackett is terrible, and Keith Carter may be the worst offensive line coach in the league.
As a lifelong Jets fan, I recommend everyone find another team and stop rooting for this one. I'm done... tired of being in the basement. Don't encourage or allow your children to become fans of this team. The people of the NY metro area deserve better.
I say we dust off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It is the only way to be sure. Fire JD and fire him right now. We bring in a HOF QB and play like we did for Kotite.
when was the last time the Jets had a really good head coach? should've paid the price to bring in Sean Payton
Also on the way to folding the franchise Gardner and Reddick can also kill themselves. Two usless underachieving losers should both be left in Phoenix.
Anyone who thinks Dallas is more likely to succeed or go to playoffs is delusional We are very similar franchises..: an overpaid roster star QBs and rotten to the core Football
Let's see. Fire the head coach and the GM, draft Zack Wilson at #2, listen to talk show hosts, make the DC the boss, fire the OC because it must be his fault and on and on. The people on this board really know NFL football.
Bill Parcells. And to my point about coaches being the most essential part of the team, the Jets had a talented team in 1996 but went 1-15 with Rich Kotite as head coach. One year later, they went 9-7 with almost the same team with Parcells as head coach, and they won the division with an improved team a year later. He was the last really good head coach we had. Since then, Herm Edwards was okay, Mangini was average to below average, Rex was about average with a few good moments, Bowles was bad, Gase was terrible, Saleh was terrible, and Ulbrich is showing that he may be the worst of all. A hardnose disciplinarian like Mike Vrabel, or an offensive mind like Ben Johnson could get the team going in the right direction.
