In celebration of your book (Congratulations!) Here's a photo that I took from my seats in Section 122 at Giants Stadium in November 1986 of Ken letting one fly vs. The LA Rams at Giants Stadium. Jets Rams OBrien Action by RSVP_NJ, on Flickr
That is a stunning photo. The colours make you realise how washed out the old videos of the game are!
I will be in England in December 21st. I better see you post more from now on. Or else, I will come over and hunt you down. I know where you live. Just saying
Self-marketing has always been my biggest weakness, but I am reaching out to podcasts about this. Jake Asman has said he would love to see a copy, but so far I have heard nothing back from Rich Eisen or the Turn On The Jets podcast... but I'll keep trying!
Yes indeed, November 18, barring some unforeseen hitch! The proof-reading is going well, but some tweaking is needed on the design. I will be posting some sample pages here before the book is actually published...
Be a pest, man, the publishing industry is already set up for you to fail so you have to use every tool at your disposal to get past that. Persistence is your most valuable tool. Self promotion sucks unless you are one of those people where it comes naturally.
I recently tidied up my books. I have 142 to read. It will soon be 143. I don't need this @ukjetsfan. Good luck with it, and post the link that gets you the most money so we know which one to buy from.
Yeah, for a while when I was reading a non fiction book, the author would reference other books and I'd buy one or two. With fiction if I liked it I'd look at other books the author had written. On average I was buying two books for every one I was reading. I worked out that wouldn't work long term! Tbh, I'm 50 and I probably have enough books to last the rest of my life. I'll still buy yours though.
Right then people. Let's have a call to arms. David has said that he is not reluctant to promote his work, but is just a bit self-conscious about it. Completely understandable. Let's create a list of media outlets that would be useful in promoting or mentioning his book. Maybe @brook could act as curator, or we could compile a list here. Looking forward to the link later this month.
I was so convinced that was going to be a Jets-Giants Superbowl that year! I've never really recovered from that, with all the Esiason, Nagle and Brister times we suffered through while still hoping.
Thanks to all of you for showing so much interest in this book - writing can be a bit of a lonely process and it has been very encouraging to see so much enthusiasm from others! As promised, here are some sample pages from the book to give you an idea of what it will look like. It is just over 300 pages, around 100,000 words. These samples are taken after the first proofread but before the final one (final proof copies have just been ordered and I am on schedule for the publication date of November 18). The book will be read by a professional copy-editor prior to publication, but there may be one or two errors in the pages linked below. Feel free to yell if you spot something!

I need you to join another thread and drop a perfunctory and completely unnecessary c-bomb so I know it's really you.
I remember fondly shootouts between Kenny-O and Marino. I even attended to a classic game where the Jets won over Miami 51-45 in OT.
