It's obvious the Cardinals' strength on offense is the Jets' weakness. How will Ulbrich and this staff prepare for what we all know is coming with their rushing attack. I'm very interested how they scheme to contain Kyler Murray and limit James Connor and their RB group. Getting gashed all day on the ground against a DL with gaps right up the middle would be disappointing. I'd like to see Leonard Taylor get more play opposite Q. He might be their next best DT
I watched a lot of the Cards-Bears game yesterday. I came away thinking that we have a 0% chance to win next week unless a way can be found to stop John Connor and stop the Ari pass rush. That guy is an animal and will run for 150+ against our horrible run defense. Murray can run, pass and they can score quickly and often. Get used to watching our superstar hall of fame CB (aka Donald Dykes Jr.)'s back chasing after MH Jr all game long, getting burned time after time. Their defense has a really good push up front as well. Based upon yesterday and how crappy our season has gone due to subpar coaching and preparation, I see 38-12 Cards in a game that is never really close. Sorry guys, hope I am wrong, but I rarely ever am.
You and I are on the same wavelength. "Just" enough to tickle your sack and then deflate. This IS a very bad football team with a LOT of talent that is coached like the keystone cops. SAME OLE JETS indeed...
I'm hoping the offense is now firing on all cylinders, but, the run D and letting KM run wild after a decent pass rush worries me.
This is actually a pretty solid POV. However, THEIR run D is just about same as ours, and if we can get our ish sorted we may be able to run a bit. Last week some tempo and quick stuff worked nice in teh 2nd half, that can abate their rush if we can execute. I'm NOT optimistic. Yet, often the Jets will hang around in these games... and once again vegas is interesting. Jets are -1.5 thats in pick 'em territory. And they were on to something last week... ????????
You know…before the season I think many of us circled this game as a very winnable game, maybe even a gimme. But then of course we are the Jets, and we don’t always realize that other teams are circling US as their winnable game… I have watched the Cards a bit, and while they are not a great team, their offense actually matches up very well against our D…they run well and hard, and we can’t stop the run or tackle for shit. I’m fully expecting to get frustrated at our inability to bring Conner down … many times. And then Murray is elusive and can break off a run any time. I’m also fully expecting him to break off more than one run on third and long and get backbreaking first downs on us. They are good at what our defense can’t stop. So I think it’s going to be a long and frustrating day on defense for us. To me, the key is if we can score often and/or early. If we can jump on them and if that takes away a bit of the run game, we’ll have a better chance. I’m skeptical. I have zero faith in our ability to actually show up and play smart, inspired ball. I think we lose this in a frustrating way, and at 8 losses, the playoffs will be all but a pipe dream, if they are not already. What a fucking shit lost season…
I watched the Ari / Chi game last week. Ari is a good team. They will get up early and never look back. This will be our usual 3 & out for the first 5 or 6 series. Maybe they'll kick a fg to end H1 behind 21-3 or worse. Then they will move the ball up & down between the 20's in H2 telling us how great they, all while losing something like 35-10. The fact is we stink. Period.
Yep they have good RB's too which we have struggled against. We deserved to win last week but it was against a depleted Texans team and although there were a few good plays overall the offense still seemed very stagnant. A miracle catch by Wilson (and another great play for a TD) notwithstanding.
This is a game they need to dictate the pace in. Get up early and put Arizona out of their comfort zone. If Kyler has to drop back 35 times, Arizona isn't winning.
The Jets haven't really had too many fast starts this season and if they don't get up by 10 points in the first quarter they could get run all over. Hackett needs to be physically removed from the stadium.
Agreed ..I'm hoping the D holds them to field goals, by stopping third down pass attempts (sucks that Murray can run though!). I think the offense may be fine this game if the D can just manage to limit scoring.

On paper we are a better team. And we've had 10 days to prepare so we should have a solid plan. However, we are usually pretty bad on the road. Its hard to predict this game.
I think it's a really good thing that Rodgers had 10 days to rest that leg. We might be having to go for it on 4th and go for 2 every time for a while.
