Good thing Jets didn't trade him. Between he and Adams they're really putting the Jets over the proverbial competitive edge. Couple of mid-round picks for a couple of nothin' - burgers with a side of too little too late, and too expensive for a rebuild.
Pathetic Woody folded for this guy. Should have never let him in the building and make his one year contract carry over to next year and then maybe he would come back with a better attitude after losing a full season of pay
Good thing we are finally reached a deal with Hasaan and are paying him like he didn't miss half the season he sure looked great out there against the 2nd worst team in the Nfl and a stinky offensive line, He had the same stats as when he was sitting out getting fined. The Hassan reddick situation and still not cutting Zurlein will go down as the 2 most genious moves Jd made this season
Is it to early to start a Hassan Redick appreciate thread? After 9 games and being paid alot of money he has finally recorded half a sack.
Let's give credit where credit is due. After remarkably dumb holdout, the guy is playing well already just 10 days after starting to practice. I mean he missed entire training camp, preseason, etc,,. Comes off the couch, and already had a sack and multiple pressures. It just sucks he didn't get here earlier, could have been the difference in some of the games.
The guy was a greedy bag of shit... However. Unfortunately, that's the culture of the NFL. Take out the bullshit morale and money aspect of It. The truth Is. He is an NYJ. It's time to support him now, especially if you break down his play against the Texans. Then, it looks even better if you look at Williams and McDonald's game breakdown. McDonald Is a stud, I'm not sure If people really see the things he Is doing right now, but It's been impressive. I'm not even talking about his sacks. The crazy thing is he still has a very high ceiling. Overall this is an amazing plus for us. I've been just as down as anyone this season, probably more than most, but I have to believe it will be better and this is a great sign. Let's go, HR!!! Glad you are an NYJ.
You think giving up a 3rd round pick for 10 games of this guy in a nothing season is a huge plus for the jets? It’s a colossal failure.
Or we could draft another Corley. Jets draft picks are a crap shoot. And they crap out 90% of the time.
I'm too lazy to look it up.......but I think it's a 2026 3rd........if so, for a SBOB team in 2024, then yes.
He did look pretty good Thursday night but Houston’s OLine has been struggling. I’m encouraged though
If the Jets lose to the Cardinals next Sunday, the season is OVER. No ifs, ands or buts. So I will reserve judgement until about 7:30PM ET next Sunday evening before I opine further on Reddick. Hopefully a little extra fuel to ignite him playing the team that drafted him. I really have no faith in this team but let's be clear, next Sunday's game is the ultimate Do or DIE game. They have ZERO chance of going 6-1 the rest of the way. 5-2 is also a very longshot for this shitshow team but based on the schedule I still give that scenario about a 10% chance of happening. This Arizona game is the Season. If the Jets lose next week, they need to be in full tank mode. No questions asked.
It’s probably helped Q elevate his game having Reddick out there with him instead of Clemons for most downs too.
Yeah, it was definitely a failure - the whole DL handling in fact was. But given where we are now, we are still hanging by a thread, maybe this guy can help going forward at least, and we SHOULD root for him. At least while we still have a small shot to make play-offs.
Anyone praising Hassan reddick right now is dellusional, the guy is one of the reasons why our season is wrecked right now, if he showed up game one and played as his contract stated, this season likely turns out different, the guy put himself before the team and created a circus and another lost season. His half a sack doesn’t make up for it. And what’s more pathetic is woody and jd rewarded him for it out of desperation, so next season expect more jets to holdout because Hassan has led the way and opened doors for them.
Would he have put the kicks over that Greg the Leg shanked? That is our season wrecker and that's before looking towards Mr Interception and Mr Butterfingers. Don't get me wrong I am no way defending Reddick but Greg has blown this season or whoever it was that let Seibert leave training camp despite winning the kicking comp.
