Not sure why you'd feel justified taking that shot considering how much more right it turned out I was on on pretty much all of the Rodgers debate points you clearly get super overly defensive about. You also forgot to mention and "give me that" the last time you commented on what I had going for me in these constant back and forths btw.
Can't believe they are 2-6 and the two wins are against the worst teams in the league. It feels like they are better than this but its tracking to be just another last place team. we are 8 games in here, its not early anymore, this is who they are
There is no run coming. Even after they probably end up beating a soft as hell Houston team next week now that the season is effectively over...just because. Blind squirrel finding nuts and all that jazz.
I've been consistent on every Rodgers point I made here since he was first even mentioned as being a possible Jet. I stand by every comment I ever made about him - why wouldn't I?
I didn't vote "Jets will make the playoffs" even before the season. Nothing the JD and Robert Saleh built shitshow has done had given me any reason to trust them, but I have to admit its far worse than even I thought it could be.
The team has talent. At least 3 of these losses have been kicks to the nuts. I can see some key guys getting their heads out of their asses and going 5-4 to end the year … or even pull off a miracle and go 6-3, But they’ve already done too much damage to sniff the playoffs. NO SHOT.
I took my vote from NO to our normal setting of "J-E-T-S" I wish I could break out my "magic lamp" and fast forward to just past game 17. I'd ask the lamp for a winning Jets team but I wouldn't be prepared for the humiliation of a Jeanie telling me that even "HE" couldn't accomplish the impossible.
Exactly, they are as, Damien Woodystated, "They have a bunch of hired mercenaries out there that have popular names on the back of their jersey, but they don’t play as a team. It’s about time for everyone over at One Jets Drive to understand that it is time to blow this thing up. Be real with where you are as an organization. It is time to blow this thing up because it is over."
This will probably look more like Gase's 1st season. Finished before the Halloween, but get a few meaningless wins to tank the draft position towards the end. Let's hope when this happens Woody will not make the same dumb mistake as he did back then and actually cleans the house this time.
You are overestimating Houston, and underestimating this franchise's cursed nature of doing just enough at times to cruelly fool a lot of it's fans back into temporarily thinking a chance might exist where none ever did. If only to get that 1 extra heart stomp in. There is just too much of a poetic feel to beating a clear 10 win playoff team, immediately after taking a season ending L to the worst team in the NFL, for it to not happen.
Nah, I play the odds rather than paying attention to voodoo. That and I don't really give a crap any more about what happens. In this situation it would be hard to overestimate a team beyond Carolina perhaps.
The Jets are favored over the Texans b/c every advanced metric has Houston as only a little bit better than the Jets, and the Jets are home. Short week + the another Houston WR hurt prob helps the spread by half a point? Hell, the Jets outgained 4 of their 5 opponents during their losing streak. Statistically, this losing streak is fluky as hell. Outgaining opponents. Missing a ton of field goals. Losing a ton of close games. That stuff isn't supposed to continue forever. I'm not saying to bet the Jets, but that's why the line is what it is. Counter point - it’s the Jets.. lmao
4 and a half games out of the division race and we only finished week 8. it’s just unbelievable we are here. Everyone should be fired
