He tackles like a girl and that one play had INT potential and he slapped his purse at it instead of attacking the ball
https://x.com/Patriots/status/1850628256375980163 Hate to post it from the official Pats twitter and all but damn. His value has definitely plummeted on the trade market this season and his contract demands better have alongside that. That’s disgusting to give that pass up.
Bro, Breece on the goal line yesterday, plunges into the line WITH NO LEG DRIVE AT ALL He gets stood up and just stands still, doesnt churn his legs at all. Phoning it in
I'm curious if he thought he had help over the middle because that move by Boutte wasn't even good. He did nothing to get Sauce to flip his hips like that and twist him around. Idk what's going on with Sauce, but I've been pretty vocal about keeping him (Not paying him higher than Surtain), but I think if you can fetch a 1 for him, I'm doing it.
That was terrible. Sauce tends to take plays off, I guess he thought 3rd and 10 on the final drive of the game was a good time to float out there
He should've had an interception in the red zone earlier, I can't remember if the pass was completed or not but it was a dangerous throw and Gardner was right there, sleeping...
It's the same with all of the big timers they drafted in 2022. They all started out looking like world beaters but as time goes on they are collectively less focused, less disciplined and less productive. Feels like coaching to me.
Inside help or not though, there was no zone threat to his outside and he got put in a spin cycle by Boutte on that. Zone should be as much of a matchup zone type of scheme as it is a raw zone. He can’t let that guy run free down the field like that.
Sauce would have given up several big plays of their WRs could catch. Maybe he thought they'd just drop that one to?
I'm going to have to finally go out on a limb and say no. Sauce wasn't the greatest tackler to begin with but this panty waist of an organization FOSTERS panzy play. He's actually gotten WORSE! I'm not saying he needs to go out and be the second coming of Brian Urlacher but this kid, if he's to get the big $$ is going to need to either learn how to tackle or get used to getting second level bucks. To be quite honest, I'd move him before the November 5th deadline. This team is going to need all the picks it can get for the next GM/HC that will be incoming in 2025.
answer to your question right now is NO. however, let's see what happens if the Almighty makes Trump #47, woody gets shipped overseas, and his brother finally offers complete control and a huge salary to get a top notch, experienced GM and Coaching staff. not probable, but possible, with extremely long odds on the money spending part. the salary cap matches the share of tv money, but the other expenses come from tickets, concessions, and the owner's pocket. if only uncle steve cohen could buy the Jets.....
Sauce is a decent corner worth a decent contract. But he wont be worth what he will ask for (2x all pro). Its going to be another Jamal Adams situation.
