That would’ve made a great game ending double play.

Man, I would have went with Hill. I'm not sure how he specs with Ohtani but I was surprised he went Cortez.

Cortes over Hill is definitely a choice that’s gonna have Boone get an earful.

Why is it historic? Pardon my inorance I'm not much of a baseball fan. Extremely casual fan I root for both NY baseball teams.

I watched a good part of last night's game I fell asleep for a few innings but woke up in time to catch the end. Heartbreaker.

I thought the Yanks would win when they got the go ahead run in top of the 10th. Then that outfielder made a Jeteresque defensive play.

The tv guy said the pitcher Boone brought in to pitch to Ohtani hadn't pitched in a month or something like that? Questionable decision to bring him into the game in that situation.Obviously it didn't work out for him.

Except it really didn’t. Had too get into the bullpen earlier than necessary and left with fewer options late.

Just a brutal loss any way you look at it.

Putting Nestor in there , and then walking has to be one of the dumbest Boone-esq things I have ever seen. We needed that game, especially the way Cole pitched.

At the time of posting it worked out fine because they didn’t give up a run. But yeah, leave Cole in and you get Holmes and Kahnle clean innings with the potential for a 4-5 out Weaver save if you need it.

Putrid management. And can someone tell Kahnle to throw a fucking fastball high and out of the zone every couple at bats? The Dodgers top end hitters ain’t the Indians.

But it did work out. Cortes got Ohtani to foul out. That was a huge out at the time. Boone didn't want a lefty-righty
matchup with Betts, so walking him to load the bases with 1st base open was the right decision. The next batter was Freeman, a lefty, so he stuck with Cortes, again the right move. Freeman is a great hitter and got the job done. I don't think Boone could have done it any differently.

Yeah he could’ve. He should’ve brought Hill in. That may or may not have the same affect but you don’t bring a guy in that hasn’t pitched in 35 days in a high pressure spot like that.

Nestor got very lucky Ohtani got himself out. He threw 2 meatballs and got burned on one of them.

This is far and away the most flawed Yankee team I’ve ever seen in the World Series.

Can we start a gofundme page to get Smoltz to shut the fuck up for a couple of minutes each inning?

Brian Cashman is an idiot. The Aaron Boone of general managers.
