The ironic thing here is that the K position is the one thing instantly fixable with a change. You can literally go from missing kicks to making kicks without needing an impact from any other position or player.

Wow, I didn't realize McManus was even available. The guy is 4 years younger than Greg, solid NFL kicker, and was let go from Washington because of an accusation of sexual harassment during London flight, but was not convicted. Just signed by GB a week ago. Way after we have been begging JD to find a new kicker. In the meantime Greg is still on the team. This is so fucking stupid.
For that I wonder whose decision it was. Boyer likes the vets. Remember Hardee the super gunner? He's been given some control over the decisions made for the roster in order to stay, so I mean the scouts were able to find someone but who decided to bring back GZ when he didn't really look great in camp and preseason?
To me this is unfathomable. We have been talking about an absolute necessity to replace Greg since Sept 29. Actually, some brought it up earlier, but pretty much everyone reached a consensus on Sept 29th on this thread. GB signed McManus Oct 16th. I mean what the actual fuck? I didn't even know a guy of this caliber was available. He just hit 45 yarder for GB twice (1st was icing the kicker timeout last second, but he made it too). Greg can't hit a side of the barn since pre-season. Why is he not on our roster and Greg is? This is malpractice, it really is. Remember how JD failed to get a decent kicker in here for the 1st 3 years? The history is now repeating itself.
It’s pretty wild they’re still trotting him out there. You don’t show kicker loyalty unless they’ve been killing it for years including huge playoff success or you’re a young team developing a kicker for the future. We have neither of those scenarios in play right now.
Franchise is just garbage. Couldn’t replace a kicker who can’t kick straight and what happens? Exactly what you’d expect.
Oh, please. Yes, Greg has been awful, but cost the game ? We were ahead and the D could not get a stop against the second string QB on the worst (or maybe now second worst) team in the league. Can we officially say the season is over and TEAR IT DOWN. We need to start by somehow getting rid of Rodgers and out from under his contract. Such insanity to expect miracles from a player in his 40's. Now, I am not blaming Aaron for this loss, that was on the D, but it should be clear as day that he isn't the answer.
Obviously the organization and roster is filled with incompetence and frauds at every level but the fact a kicker is allowed to cost a team 3 games out of 7 might be the biggest indictment of all. It is better that this season become a total disaster and embarrassment though to get rid of as many people in the organization as possible.
He should have been cut the day I made this thread but this team literally let him cost them 2 more games. You can’t make it up.!
Greg costs us this game for sure. Even if he just made the xp, we are tied and going to the OT as two point conversions would not have happened. The incompetence of this FO is just remarkable. Ironically now they finally will get rid of him a month too late after everyone already knew he had to go, and the new kicker will ruin the draft position. Now I actually hope they keep the guy: the offseason is under way.
