I have a question about the officiating on the pass break ups by Buffalo. The Garret Wilson pass in the endzone and pass to Ruckert near the end of the game. Good defensive plays by Buffalo I think BUT in the modern game those types of hits are called hit on defenseless receivers? If Jets defenders had made those same exact plays they'd have been called for penalties. Why didn't we get those calls? Hit on defenseless receivers. .
JD spent some good money on Mike Williams and our two starting offensive tackles. None of these three players has been lighting it up. Pittsburgh will come to play next week. Not sure how many lost games in a row it will take for JD to get the ax.
And why did Ruckert get so much playing time tonight over Conklin who has been one of our best offensive players so far this season?
He's not going anywhere. He's got this owner convinced that this is the best team the Jets have fielded since 1969. It's not even the best team this organization has fielded in the past decade. And Rex's teams would beat this team by at least 50 points.
Rodgers' play ain't the direct problem. Heck we probably haven't even won a game yet this year with Zach back there. Maybe NE I guess. The direct problem is the one offseason change that absolutely needed to happen the most didn't happen, and that is basically Rodgers' fault. We were never going to flush out and get past the lingering stink that has left there without a full offseason reset effort to do it.
Not the problem that needed fixing at that point. Downing was a slight upgrade. That was the change. Not throwing a team in contention into upheaval midweek. Brilliant job by the clueless asshole of an owner. But this was truly a team loss, top to bottom. Really impressive
They're all part of the problem. Not one member of this Front Office or Coaching staff deserves to be retained. The Jets need to do it the right way for once. Blow it up, build through the draft, suck for a year and field a homegrown good product with a top leader like Pete Carroll. It's the only way.
No he wasn't. He wasn't great, but his side of the ball was good, and he hired a good OC before the idiots above him scapegoated the guy. Firing him was firing Bowles all over again.
Yeah I've been in the same place for a few years now. I can't stop rooting for them but I do despise them to a degree as well. Just endless stupidity and mistakes that we can all see coming from a mile away.
