https://x.com/PSchrags/status/1843656502336467452?t=JsFhyYI9fSSPf0OqOL6tcA&s=19 Welcome coach. Please fix the stupid back breaking penalties, adjust strategies during games when needed, and let's get this thing turned around for the better. Good luck
Ulbrich is going to toss Hackett out of the booth like a rag doll after he calls 3 Breece Hall runs up the gut on the first series Monday night.
First order of business is to take play calling away from "Can't Hackett 2.0" Then we'll know how serious this move really is...
Zero chance of that happening. Things are being done backwards, again, for a reason here. This firing is so much more about finding a scapegoat that helps preserve Hackett's job and keep Rodgers content/happy then it does with any 2024 playoff run. Saleh sucks and deserved to be fired, but it doesn't matter who the HC is if Hackett gets saved in this. *HACKETT* and the fact we have no competent mind in the coaching room is the much much bigger problem at hand. This roster could/can carry Saleh to playoff berth record if the offense gets right (or at least righter). That absolutely can't/won't happen without at least trying to get somebody else at the helm of that to help, or more appropriately....*FORCE* that help on to Rodgers that he needs to be successful here.
He should toss him into the fucking booth to be honest. I think Hackett sucks but I also think putting him in a controlled environment where he can see the field, play clock, etc. would at least help along some of the operations.
I'm reading that Douglas was informed of the decision 15 minutes before the actual firing, and that Woody had a late night call with Ulbrich and an unidentified player. (Hi Aaron!!!) I'm happy Saleh is gone, don't get me wrong, but if this is true, then we're just as dysfunctional as ever and Woody once again stuck his nose into things. Which I would have known anyway, but it's pretty impulsive to do it that way.
There is a reason Ulbrich didn’t get any head coaching interviews this past year. Most teams do not view him as a head coach, at least not right now. Hopefully this opportunity lets him prove them wrong. He has to make some changes on offense since that is the problem area. I don’t there is any chance Hackett is fired as his offense is what AR is comfortable and what he wants(old dog new tricks thing). He could remove Hackett from play calling duty and/or hire in a gameplaning consultant. The OL line coach is going to be fired, either right away or if there isn’t a major improvement, this next game. Of course holding players more accountable needs to happen, and hopefully the blind favoring of veterans over rookies and young players will end. Maybe we see Corley play and Braelon Allen replace Breece as starting RB until Breece starts to perform better.
bill hates woody, just another example of why woody set back the team 24 years and counting when he bought it
Link/source? None of this would surprise me. This would be Woody jumping the org flow chart right and making what should be the GM's decision
Saw it on Facebook - must be true no clue if it is, but here's the meme. Nevermind, the app won't let me insert a pic. It's from incarceratedbob - I remember him from the Stem days but no clue if he's a reliable source or not.
