I've come to the conclusion Saleh is a life coach who is clueless at running a team well. It's just bad mis management and telegraphic football
As HEAD coach of the football team who needs to make that call on 4th and 1 to kick the field goal instead of going for it like they did?
Loser attitude. He doesn't get it. Zack Rosenblatt @ZackBlatt Robert Saleh: "You’re always going to find silver linings. I’m not ready to talk about them now but I do appreciate that our guys continue to battle and they fought and gave ourselves a chance. We’re right there with a chance to score a touchdown at the end of the game and go win it and unfortunately it didn’t happen for us."
A good attitude- for a Pop Warner coach whose primary job is teaching his players valuable life lessons.
Another penalty driven day, almost 10 today The drops, the poor coverage scheme. Literally talent is keeping us in but ou4lr preparation so far as a team has been Adam Gase bad
Complete loser. He acts like winning by one score is some miraculous accomplishment. There is no killer instinct whatsoever. It's been years of this "keep it close and hope we pull it off at the end" bullshit. Saleh needs to be gone yesterday. He is a loser and his loser mentality is metastasizing.
They were 5-5 at that point and within that 10 game span they had a streak of scoring 38, 37 and 48 points. We’re riding Hackett into the ground when we can barely score.
I wouldn’t want him teaching life lessons to anyone. The only lesson he preaches is that losing and doing a piss poor job are completely acceptable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's classic Peter's principle. Saleh is a DC. That's his ceiling, and he is not a bad one. He will be a good DC next year somewhere. But HC is above his pay grade.
He really wasn’t even a good DC. He was about to be fired and then they walked into Nick Bosa that turned them into a good defense.
This. I don’t know how to get this into some people’s heads. Saleh’s D is basic. As basic as it gets in the NFL. It needs great players and will overpower limited teams with talent. But when an Offense with more talent shows up we get dominated every time. Saleh himself has admitted it.
I still can't believe they fucking went for it on 4th down on the 35 in a ten-point game IN THE SECOND QUARTER instead of kicking a field goal. WHO DOES THIS?!?!?!
That didn't happen today. The defense was good. 16 points allowed on 253 yards (the pick 6 doesn't count). Four sacks, two takeaways. Darnold's worst game of the season by far. That basic defense did pretty darn well, even with the star pass rusher holding out.
